On Others
by Kalyan Deb on Feb 11, 2007 10:13 PM  Permalink

Christianity, Islam and Judaism
All sprang out from the same source
Harmoniously; only at different ages
And traveled far and away only to fall apart
Seeking supremacy by men who preached
What the religion never proclaimed.

On Hinduvta
by Kalyan Deb on Feb 11, 2007 10:11 PM  Permalink

Hinduvta is a culture as ancient as mankind
With origin obscured, hailed as a religion
Only with others in comparison
A way of life for its followers
Believing in every other belief
That followed embracing its virgin edict.

On Religion and Nationality
by Kalyan Deb on Feb 11, 2007 10:10 PM  Permalink

You equate nation with your religion
Denying others equal rights
Crown your religion with tolerance
You make a paradox in disgrace
Fear not from others when
You have faith in your own.

On Religious Dissent
by Kalyan Deb on Feb 11, 2007 10:08 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Keep in religion at home
Inside your own heart
Bound only by your own belief
Dissent with others and puritans would waste away
Inequality causes and concatenates all trouble
Religion only a commodious veil.

Beautiful. Religion is a commodity. (Yes if I sell my God I am benefited.(Imagine) My name is OzpeliGuz. My religion and God is Bzyktan. The God of roaches and 600 million years old. My God has outlived even dinosaurs and will outlive human race. Read the holy Fxtorzg. Send $100 for a place in Heaven. Remember the world is going to end in Jan 10, 2008. Book fast.) Forgive if any one is hurt in their belief. But this can happen and Kalyan fired my imagination.

A devoted fidelity
A belief in powers unseen
Pursuing holy rites
Religion is all that but
Never a retreat with blind faith
That eludes the path not illumes.

The Hindu community are very badly treated by mass media and all the political parties because of their tolerence or u can say lack of Hindu awareness.Mass Media - print or vision both are engaged in weakning the Hindu community And weakning of Hindu Community are resulting attacks on Hindu peoples by Muslim terorist out fits all over the country. And there is nobody come farward to protect Hindu peoples and neither the so called MASS MEDIA ever shouts for hindus as often they so loudly and oersitently shouts for muslims & christians? Why--? Because Hindu peoples are not united and so hindu VOTE BANKS are considered not SOLID? So righyly VHP is trying to unite all Hindu peoples despite so much misunderstanding created by secular or pro muslim politicians and maas media.psagrawal

Dilip, Every Indian thinks in the same way and being Indian we tend to have free, open and having a feeling of Live and Let Live. This thinking would have hold very true had there been no religion at all in India...Neither Hindu nor Islam etc etc....

Having said that, the matter of fact is that we have 2 religions Islam and Christainity that were born out of India and more specifically unless and until people following these religions think themselves to be indians first than muslim and christian, Hindu Forces like VHP/Modi/RSS will have status in India. Do u think Hindus would have been staying with dignity had these forces not been there....I believe no.... Who would have taught the Violent Muslims who burnt Hindus Alive a Lesson..... My friend these forces are there to keep balance.... Had Shivaji been not there in 1600, I and you would have been Muslims and had no freedom to think beyond Kuran....

Praveen.. Are you ready to pay for another's crime ? if you do , i Salute you. I dont know which vehicle you have. Lets say you have a Maruti. Now the next time the police fail to catch somebody breaking the signal and driving a Maruti(any make!) go to the police and over the fine , saying :" I should be punished coz i have the same brand car" (get yourself taught a lesson)

Muslims ruled for many years than the life of shivaji. What you are saying is illogical(Had Shivaji been not there in 1600, I and you would have been Muslims and had no freedom to think beyond Kuran). Which war took place to spread islam in malaysia, indonesia etc ? Talk with proof and illogical

Religion The Powder Keg
by asokan a on Feb 11, 2007 09:49 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

India is secular country. The irony is in the name of minority status they enjoy a lot of privileges. There is no check in the rampant religious conversions. Some religious population are audacious in criticising Hindu religion to fill their begging bowl abroad. It is a shame on any population that is divided on religious, caste and race basis. Politicians and foreign powers can aggravate our problems. Any public expression of religious promotion should be banned. People should shun those people who exhibit their religious identity. They have a self interest. Thanks.

But, before banning public expression of religious promotion, we must ban religious conversions and lots of foreign money that is getting into our country for construction of churches, mosques and religious conversions. Also, religion-based and caste-based policies of our government to favour any particular religion and caste must be banned. All of us must realise that Ashok Singhal and his "public expression of religious promotion" is a direct consequence of minority-appeasement politics practised by many of our political parties since several decades.

Let me make this clear on partition
by Nikhil P on Feb 11, 2007 09:46 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The fact that an islamic country was created after the partition proves that there were islamic forces active in partition to get their way. But there was no Hindu country created so it proves there were no hindu forces active and responsible for partition.
