On Religion and Two-nation theory
by Kalyan Deb on Feb 11, 2007 10:27 PM  Permalink

Champion of the Two-nation theory may wonder
Hiding his (fez-capped) face in disgrace; if indeed he did
An utter misdeed over the life and fate of innocent trusting millions
By carving out a nation whose educated elite prefers
Seeking a safer haven elsewhere and where
His own blood-kin despicably never belongs.

i guess am the only female over here. if my opinons are wrong am sorry. i dont have any intentions of hurtin any one. india is basically an agricultural land so if our farmers are muslims or hindus or christians or any other religion or sect will you stop eating the wheat or rice just because you hate a particular religion?? the rice or wheat is mixed with the sweat of a hindu muslim or christian so shall we starve?? god is one. god in all religions does not like hatred. we are all human beings. everyone dies one day. we are responsible for our actions cant blame religion. we are not dogs to mark territory. we are human beings with compassion, families and love.
thank u

Good. Human do mark their territory. It is hypocrisy to believe human are not evolved from animals and share most of common traits. It is not wrong if you assert what is your culture. If you are without any identity you will be in danger. I agree with you that hatred should not be cultivated between cultures. A garden with flowers of many hues is India.

On Religion and Faith
by Kalyan Deb on Feb 11, 2007 10:26 PM  Permalink

The faith I was suffused in when a child
I wandered around seeking the worth growing old
Living thru%u2019 vices and virtues (all earthly) undone
Faded in and out (of it) striking oddly none
Zealously pulled apart ever to the other maxim
Cruelly meeting my end blissfully away from the extreme.

On Religion and a naked Deity
by Kalyan Deb on Feb 11, 2007 10:22 PM  Permalink

Blessed with the freedom of speech and expression
Be it an art, sculpture or script
A fertile mind with a rare vision
Innovates truly only a unique creation
But never to procreate an aberration
Ushering in deceit, loathing and vengeance.

On Religion and Veil
by Kalyan Deb on Feb 11, 2007 10:21 PM  Permalink

Hailing thy veil as the icon of modesty
Luring thee away from the prying eyes
Both thy veil and thee too
Were abused (by men) upholding the taboo
For so long (and too long) thee know not how
Can face the world averring thy right now.

On Religion and Peace
by Kalyan Deb on Feb 11, 2007 10:20 PM  Permalink

Crying for peace in the name of religion
Having no regard for the human mind
The way Nazis, Bolsheviks, Talibans did
Creating the peace of only the graveyard
Let values flourish flowering into virtues
Religion only trailing the advent of peace.

On Religion and Tolerance
by Kalyan Deb on Feb 11, 2007 10:18 PM  Permalink

The need to attribute your religion
With peace, harmony and tolerance
Bares the fact disturbing
The virtues are awanting
Like you hail facts as true facts
Only to hide them from the truth.

On Believer and Non-believer
by Kalyan Deb on Feb 11, 2007 10:16 PM  Permalink

You nod to say you adore your father
And nod again saying he did your grandfather
Tracing in your vein the strain inerasable
Father of the first believer was a non-believer too
Even in his other belief, he was one of you
He is still the one, among others around you.

On Religion and Violence
by Kalyan Deb on Feb 11, 2007 10:15 PM  Permalink

Human culture and religion
That grew out of violence and
Pursued the path of invasion
Presently abandon peaceful means
Over the pretext of salvation and
Defying endeavor to undo stagnation.

On Origin of Religion
by Kalyan Deb on Feb 11, 2007 10:14 PM  Permalink

Trace back and you would find
Language, culture and religion
Are bound to the places of their origin
Embracing any while you (are born and) live away
Makes you an alien in your own place of stay
Even when you are in your homeland.
