I'm sure the scale of the Tata's plant can offer this kind of job opportunities and jobs at the plant for the people who have given up land. With the security of these jobs, their children can attend schools. The next generation of Singur will certainly be better off.

Everything is O.K but what about the havoc that small cars will play on already congested Indian roads.
Thanks Indrani. This is the spirit. Mamata lost an oppertunity. She could have broken her hunger strike(?)by taking food cooked by Singur women andd that too at Singur...probably with the veegetables from singur farmland...aha

Mamta, are you listning? Would you like to take a lesson from Sigur women? I think Sigur women are replying to Mamta what they want. Mamta are you learning?
I wonder if you've heard of a certain other congenial chappie who roamed the earth about 50 years ago - he was called Adolf, and spoke incessantly of 'Lebensraum' (living space) for the Master Race of Aryans.
And for the Lebensraum, if millions of Jews, homosexuals, eastern Europeans and other such 'undesirables' had to die, so be it.
Why don't you shout a merry 'Seig Heil' while you're at it, you little tinpot Hitler?
We can solve our problems by not reproducing so much, and not by hurting smaller nations around us! And don't send me to the concentration camps for this, Mein Herr Adolf!
TATA car factory doesn't need agricultural prime land. Taking agricultiral land will lead us to become net importer of food. Besides everything else let us focus on growing our agriculture as well. Why WB govt. not giving TATA waste land.
women from Singur villages represent the real people to whom TATA is a Opportunity.
Leave singur as it is and it would remain so as long as the time last.
Its so easy in this country to halt anything, Why didn\'t this mamta or whatever helped these women earlier became self reliable? I suppose that wouldn\'t had solved any purpose.

Well, Corporate cunningness of TATA is at its best. He believes he can get away with throwing some bones. What Singur people are made to give up is so much more than any petty job he can provide.
