dear manizh, 'hum aah bhi kartey hain to ho jate hin badnaam - aur woh katl bhi kartey hain to charcha nahin hota'. in politicz and in life there iz no zuch thing az black and white, they are all zhadez of grey. in a zenze they are all guilty and in another zenze they are not....conzidering the extra ordinary circumztancez and circumztantial evidance during the riotz....looting, burning, killingz, bloodzhed, etc....in the end we all have to azk ourzelf...how are will be go to protect our family....and what would we do if zomeone offered uz a gun for protection under theze circumztance...

I think we should see the case from the begining, the part when Sanjay have mention how is got contacted with the Don, He said that he met the Don on the set of one of the film of Ferroz Khan. Here the point is if the person who have come to meet Ferroz Khan then why this point is not argued in there from the start of this case.Another point was when the case took a turn and when Sanjay Dutt was only held for holding Arms and not as terrorist then at that time WHY THE OTHER ACCUSED RELATIVES DID NOT RAISE THEIR VOICE IMMEDIATELY. Why on Tuesday???
I think this is one of the planned step of Nigam to confuse the Judge and make the dicision more complicated and delaying so that once the popularity of Sanjay Dutt fade away and when the case get little attention as it seems as the day pass and then he can be punished, and no one care for that any more.
I want to make the statement here that Sanjay Dutt's father told him to say the Truth and only the truth and he been a son of such a good father it is not in his blood to do such things, I think he must have been planned into this, given all kind of threats and it was also made realized to him by attacking his father two time. Forcing him to take such action.
Now from the point of other who believe that he is Guilty. If he is guilty then he have already got the punishment, again comming to the first point of Ferroz Khan if Sanjay Dutt says that he met the DON on FERROZ KHAN SET, then was not Ferroz Khan not been involved in this case as if the person comes to meet you then he must have good relationship with you and been from the same caste they must have requested Ferroz Khan also to put a big part of consignment to his house also, been of same caste, if one can force Sanjay dutt to do same thing then why not Ferroz Khan. And when asked the same question to the Police department of Mumbai then they said we are not concert of that now.
Now see the Sanjay Dutt Case his father was a good politician and was attacked two times at that time, they must have forced Sanjay Dutt to do the things, just think from his point of view, as he has a good blood, he aggreed to that but then destroyed the arms. Because he can't say No to them but he also do not want to give them to use it he DESTROYED THEM. This is a good side of him, because he was not the terrorist. You can forcfully take the Horse to the river but can't make him drink the water, the same case was this, they made him take the weapons forcefully by threating his families life but Sanjay Dutt do not want them to use it and so he destroyed them. That also needs much guts.
Last but not the least I want to tell every one that do you believe in Ramayan, who wrote it, Valmiki Sage who was one time decoite, but he changed himself to Sage by his good behavior and GOD selected him to write Ramayan.
In the same way Sanjay Dutt has gone through many hardship and have also got punishment for what he has done and that is enough. Now there should not be any more punishment for him, he should be released. Giving him one more chance to prove that he is a good person, don't give him punishment because he has said truth. Gandhigiri and munabhai was in sanjay dutt before the film was even thought of. Please release him.
Whenever I turn on the TV and this news comes up.. there is atleast one reference to Munna Bhai and Gandhigiri. How hipocratic is our media. Why don't you guys keep it simple "Put this guy in jail for what he did in 1993".
Is there anyone out there who can't guess what will happen on thursday 1pm when the bail extension expires?

Ok I accept he is not a terrorist. Let us also assume he kept an Ak-47 to keep the "hindu mobs" from attackinh him. But lets pause for a moment and see who gave him the gun? Who are his buddies? Remember his talk with a ganster that Mumbai police put out on the net.
The fact is thi s guy (and many other movie stars actually) is friends with and sympathises with fanatic islamic gansters who will blow crowded markets to justify their cause. Its a pity that Indians idolize these kind of people.
Put him in jail for a couple of years and ban him and his family from politics and also ban all his movies throughout India. That'll work, I am sure.

Three AK47s, a pistol, 29 hand granades for self protection? Trying to distroy evidence failure to report to the police of the consparacy to carry out bomb blasts?
Everyone should be equal in front of the law. Terrorists need support from people like him to execute their goals. Make him an example and give him the maximum punishment.
Absolute non-sense... Our judiciary is bad for most of the times when compared to their goodness. The reality is that since 100s of crores are invested on him, all those ppl including himself are trying left and right to escape out of this. Same way, Salman also escaped in his case. Shame on our Judiciary. 'ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE IN INDIA'!! :-( God save our country. When a person (Afzal) convicted for carrying out the highest criminal activity (Attack on Parliament) is not yet punished in our country, there is no surprise if Sanjay gets out of this!! Even though we like Sanjay Dutt for his acting, we should not compromise on our country my dear frnds!!!! Am I wrong frnds?:-(. If Sanjay is a good person, he should admit his mistake and takeup the punishment!!!

Are you out of ur mind or what? Because a insane person can only compare Sanju to Afzal. Agreed it was his mistake of possessing AK47. For which he have already served 18 months & serving the name tag of being attached to those criminal tll date , that is more than enough. And by the way i don't know if you were around during riots in Bombay ( if at all present may be hiding in your house) his whole family was under threat & he wanted to protect them. People like you should grow up & think logically before passing comment like " he should be punished". He is not a criminal to be punished. He did a mistake & for that he had enough .I hope court releases him soon(considering his good behavior during the trial )so that he can carry on is normal life without having to come to court every week. If you think he has already served his punishment, then why not release others. There can't be one rule for famous and other for rest. Why did he carry AK47 without a license and tried to desroy the evidence. He deserves to be sent down for a long time to make other people of power think before they do anything like messing with out law.

I fully agree with you SAJIL, if the court and law is not compassionate, how could the general public and for that matter criminals be better citizens. The laws need to be re-written for the flaws they have.
