hi suppandi u remind me of tinkle suppandi
Without any view or vision our political leaders opening their mouth before the general public itself ruin them and washing away their good images from the voters mind and thus go out of the memory of the voters. Such phenomena are really a curse of our nation itself. What should the role of the opposition part of the ruling front? Guide the ruling front to rule the country safely keeping in view the goodness of the State and not for disturb the State and the people as well as they could. Our former rulers never count their own profit, they always glanced the brightness of State and people.
Experts groups are formed...they analysed....gave a reasonable verdict. They know the situation better than anybody..we mostly rely on information from "sources" and come to conclusion..thats not the way. The main problem in our nation is "we think we are experts in every field and every issue"..please leave to the experts. They have spent their energy to time for their field.

The verdict is definetely not based on the ground survey considering different points such as geographical area, number of crops and rainfall received. I completely agree with points made by Ramakrishna Panicker that this is politically biased. Now whole people of Karnataka have to face problems because of bandhs and voilences.
The Kaveri river dispute goes back to 1890's as does Karnataka's (then Mysore state) political disadvantage. Mysore being a princely state, while Madras presidency was part of the British Raj led to agreements that were ludicrously one-sided. And the disadvantage continues to this day in a different way.
Both Tamilnadu and Andhra Pradesh have had regional parties in power for a very long time. As the DMK or AIADMK or some other party ending with MK in Tamilnadu and the Telugu Desam party in A.P. don't belong to mainsteam National parties they have found a very effective way of extracting a stiff political price for their support to coalition goverments at the Centre. Jayalalitha and Chandrababu Naidu did that with the NDA govt. and now Karunanidhi is doing it to the UPA govt. Unfortunately the politics of Karnataka is more in tune with National mainstream, so there're no opportunities for them to exploit the Central govt. like its neighbors do. So please spare us the advice of "we're all one nation, we're all Indian". Go tell that to other states that are openly chauvinistic about their states, Karnataka is not the one raising reahgional slogans like "Apna Punjab", or "Sonar Bangla" or "Naam Tamilar". Kannadigas are the most miisguidedly liberal people in India. The last thing they need is advice about patriotism from chauvinits from other regions.

Well I understand your concerns ... But you would understand the true picture if you think pragmatically. You are being misguided by the KANNADA EXTREMISTS. So Stay away from them !!!!
I guess all of us here are fighting without knowing the facts completely. Please understand the judgement 100% and then comment. While writing here keep these points in mind, 1. The tribunal took several years to come to this judgement, so they might have thought from all the angels. Why dont let your Govt study and challenge the Tribunal? 2. KA Govt seems to be acting cautiously. It wants to understand the judgement completely and react, which is a sensible thing to do. The CM has requested the ppl asking for KA bandh to postpone it atleast till the Airshow is over (when thousands of Foreigners visit Bangalore). You need to beleive the Govt you have elected or else wait for the next elections and elect them out. 3. Every city and state in India have their share of bad qualities. I'm also a Maratha, born and brought up in Karnataka. I have visited atleast 20 states in India inclusing Chennai, TN and I dont have any bad things to tell about KA or Good things to tell about MH, TN etc. I feel all are in the same boat. We need to do lot to claim supremacy over others. 4. India is developping because of South Indian Brain intensive Software Industry and Business Acumen (this doesnt mean NI's dont have brain or SI's are not Business Savy). 5. No state owns the water and no body is begging or giving the water as gift. Cauvery is national resource and belongs to whole of India. In many cases there exists international water treaty to share water among different countries forget about states. 6. Every body wants to talk about the problem but not the solution. Neither I have any accept for the one which former PM Vajapayee had suggested. I.e. Inter linking the rivers of the country. Drag your Govts and other experts in this debate instead of wasting time over already scarce Cuavery waters.
And I'm writing all this sitting thousands of miles away from India. Any comments good or bad are welcome.

A small correction, Point 4. India is developping because of South Indian Brain intensive Software Industry and Business Acumen of North Indians(this doesnt mean NI's dont have brain or SI's are not Business Savy).

ditto that.. As we continue to have fuedal systems that support politicians for no reason other then caste or religion etc, we will continue to have this problems.
I know lots of Tamilians dont like JJ and other dont like Karuna. But at the end of the day, i think both of them (through their selfish reasons) have brought lots of good opportunities to TN. The great thing about TN is that despite electing corrupt officials, the population still expects some return. This way, the corrupt politicians cannot fool the people. This has mostly to do with the high education level found in TN.
Let JJ and Karuna fight because it will only benefit TN indirectly.

The only solution for water problem is to conserve water from whatever water you spent yesterday so that we can drink more water day before yesterday even though water is consumed very less yesterday, this ensures more water is present tomorrow in the future although in the past of future water is spent more and more, in but ultimately water is spent less even though we drink more so what we have to do is spend water more and more and therefore consume less, ensuring water for both water-starved bangalore and all TN cities and all agricultural lands anywhere in India Ultimately spend less water though more water is good for less water so lets all spend water Jai India

lot of yesterdays and tomorrows...but Mr. Made Gowda should be brought to senses to achieve that. And, that doesn't seem likely. Inspite of the ruling that the states together should bear the burden in case the expected total figure isn't achieved in a year and that karnataka can keep the excess water in case it goes past that figure, Kannadigas and not karnataka wants to make the tamils bite the dust. So fight fire with fire!
Jayalalitha is like Indira Gandhi, she has dare to step.she can keep the culprits back in the bar, what she did socalled pseduo god in TN.she is good dravidan to fight pseduo hindus in karnataka.
