When a President reaches the seat at Rashtrapati Bhawan,he is the first man and his wife is the first woman. He is the supreme commander of the nations forces. That means he is the final authority to tackle nation's survival as a nation. Anything that passes Govt. or Judiciary has to be submitted for the President's stamp. Once his stamp is put that is the end. This should be credible and executed. It is unquestionable.
The post is highly sensitive like that of God's. Think about it and either retain it or do away with it.
It's better Indians once again think about this seriously and change or alter the system. Or else a bunch of politicians from whichever party they are,(unfortunately they are all rich who do not know the pangs of hunger and human dignity) will decide the fate of the country and none can stop it. Wake up. RJG

well I have always come across this adage' not guilty till it is proven' but the exact opposite seems to be happening the world over. I do have a close brush with this horrible situation. The fact that TVR Shenoy has done his home work well before writing the article on the the spy scandal is really commendable. To retain one objectivity during the media frenzy speaks volumes of his calibre and the fact that he has taken his work seriously and reponibily. During that terrble phase the whole media bandwagon had gone overboard with speculations and wild rumours. Because truth do not sell as it is colorless, odourless and insipid. So truth is sacrificed at the altar of sensationalism. My request is I want to talk with TVR Shenoy and wants to seek his opinion in dealing with my case which is just as sensational as the Isro case.
we should be careful while choosing such people.this man's itelligence report was not good before he was elected as a president.his men tried to attck my son 1.5 years old nearly(shahrukh khan)at the rehearsal of beating retreat at rashtrapati bhawan.this place has lost it's dignity itself
PADMA AWARDS %u20132007 ! TVR Shenoy has a valid point in saying in few words about Padma awards. In a way, PADMA awardees of 2007, in their respective fields deserved awards and it is not a matter of dispute so far the nation is concerned. But there are some other segments in Indian Society who are fairly essential PARTICIPANTS and responsible in today%u2019s global %u2018terrorism%u2019 of which India is a special target. Defence/Para Military/Police personnel also do their duty not only in preserving sovereignty but also taking part in various social activities. They do have their awards from their respective Forces, which are mainly devoted to their duties in the field of actions, encounters but certainly not for their social services. How many Defence /Para Military/Police officials have been decorated with PADMA awards during the past 58 years %u2013 not even 58- one every year to say the least. Public reads only Padma Shri/Bhushan/Vibhushan/Bharat Ratna and not the %u2018CHAKRAS%u2019 which are just remembered for ceremonial purposes on special days %u2013 hardly known nor recognized by the general public. This segment is also a part of society and their recognition by the nation could be considered. Vinod Tuli NOIDA, UP
Govt must treat Rashtrapati Bhavan with respect-with great feelings & pain me punch down my message that really this type of wounds are not healable. We have to think that our Supreme office - Rastrapati Bhavan - something like the Sun for the entire World itself and every citizen with reverence only to glance our Rastrapati Bhavan and disregarding it costs in huge quantity which is irrecoverable. We including our Prime Minister office too, we have to count as the race of this Sun. With out the nut shells there is no life for its creatures, like tortoise gives out its life when it leaves its shell. For political gain we are not selling out our parents, teachers. Like, we do not sell out our prestige. Anybody who treat our Nation at an ill healthy way, kindly, apologize for their act and pray for excuse to Almighty God.
The current UPA government has been the worst culprit when it comes to following the protocols. It's a shame on any government that breaks the age old protocols and still proclaim to take pride in following them.
This was a good article. One should be surprised if the treatment of the President was better by these politians.
Dr. Kalam is not a politian. He is a great man and he has a very clean image. But, his image did take a slight beating when he approved President's Rule in Bihar at almost midnight. That too by fax.
This Congress (and most greedy politicians) have no respect for this country, all they can think of is their greed for money and power and thats what reflects in their acts. How do you expect them to respect the President of a country for which they have no respect. they just treat this country as a money earning shop thats all.
These congress man are behaving just like the rulers of India doinf before meekly surrendering to the moghuls. Today they along with the nation with them had surrendered infront of a foreign born power. It is only a matter of time before the foreign power shows its true colors and with our economy also completely exposed we as a nation will have very few options to fight back. These congressman will non the less enjoy their life time in some other country.
Comparing it with the BJP govt just compare the difficulty and time taken for filling up a domestic gas cylinder now as compared to three years earlier.
Each day they are corrupting more people of this country. I can not stoop below my dignity to comment about Indian Left parties.
Arey yaar, its so simple. When '10 Janpath' is on their side, what can even the 'POOR' Rashtrapati Bhavan to to them? Rememeber, President is just a Rubber Stamp in India. Even the PM has to seek blessings from '10 Janpath' these days.

No rashtrapati bhavan occupant has so far made his stamp on the Indian minds that call RP a rubber stamp without the slightest hesitation.
The guy, technically, is the Commander-in-Chief of our armed forces.
But when it comes to the occupant of the PMO the incumbent has to seek for a bathroom.
Why ?
Because Jawahar belittled that post of the highest rank in the nation to the extent that even a stalwart intellectual like Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan had to point out the paucity and passions of Jawahar so tacitly in many a words, when he could have just used the mono-syllable = No.

Nirmal, Dr. Abdul Kalam is not a rubber stamp president. I have never seen any president like him so far. He is best among the best. Let him be the president for another 5 years so that india prosper.
