Master Plan
by R Sinha on Feb 06, 2007 03:27 PM  Permalink

I am really surprised to see how government / courts good intention can be set aside using presue tactics. What court has said is valid and correct all those who have converted their structures illegally should be punished and these illegal shops should be closed. But due to pressure from shopkeepers and ofcourse due to vote bank politics government is dithering away. Rather than taking an opportunity to teach these rowdy businessmen a lesson government is actually saying that do whatever you want, if some one tries to correct it take out a voilent procession and government in the name of keeping law and order under control will regularise your misdeeds.

Long live democratic India and long live citizens who know how to circumvent the process.

Hogwash !!
by som nag on Feb 06, 2007 01:27 PM  Permalink

All the Government wants to do is to catch the election deadline and not offend the trader lobby who fund them generously. The Supreme Court should ensure that this Plan is absolutely fool proof to ensure a better quality of life for the Citizens of Delhi and expert's views have been incorporated into the plan. The trader lobby/ political nexus must not be allowed to prevail

politicaly motivated
by Shashi Shekhar on Feb 06, 2007 01:22 PM  Permalink

It seems that the master plan is totally politically motivated.
As they are not going to take any kind of deciplinary measures which could make delhi look like the capital of India.
Down with the cheap mentality.
