Tamilians are intelectuals and also they think that they are supreme, See the way in which the Karunanidhi and jayalalitha moves. It is the only state in India where the present and the past Chief Ministers will not talk to each other. The enemity between them are personal and they take people for a ride. Even one person die, the other will not condole. In the present UPA government 12 Ministers are from Tamil Nadu. They are very clever to get their things done. But Let us not think that, with the 12 ministers, thery are doing good for the state. They are making good for their business. See How Sun Network has grown. Being Central Minister, Dhayanidhi Maran is allways in Tamil Nadu and he looks like state Minster. Instead of resorting to Violence, we, Karnataka People , has to approach things legally and also show our ballots to the right people.

true but it is not TN which singled out. Even in Bihar, Railway Minister always comes from that state and he is like a State Minister... Every state will try to grab things if their ministers are there.. This is a regionalisitc attitude.

Please close this thread soon. You are building fury in people's mind. Stop it please, Rediff... you are doing this for your benefit. See the country. Warning to all the media, please dont act like a politician. Media is the biggest politician these days. First you stop these and all politician will follow you.
India is a socialist democratic country.Just for administrative convenience we have divided the country into different states. all the natural resources are the property of the nation. ALL THE STATES has got the equal right FOR THAT. so the politicians should not interfere in this matter and make things worse. all the citizen of the country can settle any where in india. Every body understand that we never quarrel for air, water etc. its so cheap and unreasonable. Dont forget MAHATMA GANDHI who led us to get the freedom. now we should not misuse it for unfair things. BE proud of as indians. not as tamils, malayalees or kannadigas.
Well all the pro paki and srilankan msgs ve cropped up..i know its not worth talking abt the msgs now cos they stand nowhere near what our country is except geographically but then we did invite those comments..we showed out our weakness..our hatred towards each other which is the weakness..they know it now since the internet is not just for the indians to see and u tell the whole damn world that we hate each other!!! good job guys..keep it up and then these vultures ll be waiting there to scavenge on ur dead bodies(vulturs meaning the srilankans and pakis trying to write here)

This issue has affected both states in india and it's not bad in having serious discussion on this..but try and stay with the issue. by kicking out all the outside scavengers we only proved we are strongly united even though divided
Let us understand that the natural resourses like water should not be fought for among ourselves and wasted. Rather based on the availability, we can share them warmly.
One side, we see that India is growing in IT, Manufacturing, R&D, etc...for which we should feel very proud. On the other side, we are fighting and feeling hatred among ourselves. Whom to belame - of course politicians - or - our education system?
Among ourselves, we call shamelessly ourselves tamilians, kannadigas, telugus, etc...Why all these - we are Indians. Is any single american called Los Angelsi, Arizona-ion, California-ion???????????. We have sovereign rights to move to any part of out nation and live. And speak any language we want to. India is such a wonderful country to live in. Do we not?
Leaving all such kind of unwanted things, let us work for still greater greater India - we have enough problems to tackle and work on such as AIDS, illiteracy, corruption, etc...
Dear Politicians,
Please, please don't divide people based on language, religion, caste and make them fight. I don't say every politicion is doing this - my request goes to the ones who wants to make use of these kind of opportunities and hide their inefficiency and ineffectiveness in their jobs. Ultimately the politicions and groups who trigger problems - they don't fight for the real cause - rather it is for their own publicity and growth. Most are not aimed at common man's benefits. If it is for common man's benefits, then it should not create any disturbances in their lives.
Media also has lots of responsibility and accountability to provide the real picture of the things.
After these kind of problems are over, you go preferably to the border areas of the states - how people live, speaking all possible languages, following all possible coustoms.
So, let us not respond to the unwanted calls and make disturbances in common man's life.

Dear Rajesh
Well said dear friend. How i wish more and more people think like you. My heartiest congratulations to you on having put forward such a wonderful thought. Can people like us who think alike, do something for the country? If so please let me know. As of now, i see a very bleak future for India
