Atal Behari Vajpayee's proposal to link all majors rivers of India , if implemented, such a plan could go a long way in mitigating inter-state disputes.
Life is precious whoever it may be. Similarly culture,language and feelings to have their own place. Don't blame anything about kannada/kanndigas. Anyway protest should be done in calm way without harming to property or life, whether tamil/kannada. This is for those who feels karnataka and its people are not good. You eat here, drink here, sleep here, and scold the place you live. First learn to respect the local place,language,culture and people(not only here in karnataka any other place too). It automatically respects you. Many of you stay here, eat here ,drink here same way give respect to this land. When you are here you are a part and should support the local not the other place. These people are more smoother than any other(but they(karnataka)/we(karnataka) too have limits). Irrespective of rich/poor,caste,religion,political unite and fight for the best result, in the interest of farmers of karnataka.
Be united as Indians and not like individuals or statewise. If we all (common people) become one, no other country or political leaders can take advantage for their own benefits.
Humanity is the first religion for all human beings.
One can win the war with affection & co-ordination.
Please respect the supreme court verdict. After all we had moved the panel to get a neutral fair view point and the verdict has been delivered by them. As we all know, they would have gone into all the details as well as the pros and cons. There is no point in killing each other, calling bandhs etc. It will only worsen our economy and our lives. The politicians who say all these things and make us fight are sitting in comfy cars and houses and instigating violence. It is we poor innocents who get affected by all these. I am a Keralite, born in Tamil Nadu and settled in Karnataka. Each of these places have a rich and glory culture. Lets not create a bad mark on it by fighting against each other..

give us a break.veerappan i agree was a thamizhian.he was a criminal and a smuggler and all he needed was death and not any stamping or branding.criminals like him deserved such a death.mind you,rajeev gandhi was killed by LTTEs and you better shut up and stay away from LTTE matter if u dont know about them.you say kannadigas r peace loving people.let me take the privilege in explaining to u as you r socially blind. 1)last year,actor rajkumar's death witnessed violence and riots in bangalore.he died of a natural cause which u guys couldnt take it into ur brains and realize what the truth was and took to the streets causing damage to public and their assets. 2)last month again,violence broke out in bangalore for the sake of saddam hussein(2-3 weeks after his death and is of no matter to fight for here).once again the damage was to public. 3)some 4-5 yrs back the same cauvery issue created problems between both the states.we thamizhians(cine stars carried a peaceful march(not even a bandh)to neyveli as a token of protest after dropping the plan to disrupt power supply to karnataka.we did not want to hurt anyone or damage anyone's life or property.but what the kannadigaas did you know-you started to attack us thamizhians in every nook and corner of ur state.u guys went on to rip our eyes of and did not even bother to take our lives.u guys did not only cause a physical fear but also a mental upset to many thamizhians in karnataka.the hangover can be felt even now when such issues come up.u guys loved to see blood spilling in your soil.can u come up and say any such incident to kannadigaas inside TN?no,never because we never take these issues into our head as we respect everyone and value them irrespective of vernacular differences. i strongly feel it is high time to change ur mindset and never say anything without a reason.better be quiet and spread peace and love ok Mr.

read thru this... History that YOU are referring to is well known.. By citing Veerappan and Rajiv Gandhi you cannot change the fact that in 1991 there were riots all over karnataka and it was targetted at the linguistic minorities (Tamils) History is self evident....

well i think mr. Bala Krishna comment is on tamils for killing Late Sri rajiv Gandhi. But Anyhow I belive that every Human Wants peace and this inhuman things would be done only by some idiots and stupid persons.
Just a few days back, Many members who have posted thier extreme views here ( I dont wanna take names , but they understood themselves) were Blaming Shiv Sena for taking Pro-Maharashtra stand, saying all India is one and everybody has right to live and use resources from everywhere , I can see same members getting provoked with this water issue and taking thier individual pr-sates stand.
What shall we do with this guys now?
In Marathi it is called Thunkun Chatane.(Spitting and then licking it again.)

yes, one has to respect the locals, thier culture and existance. True. No objection Sahane. No qualms about Maharashtrians.
The CWA as well as media have given a very lopsided coverage of the verdict. TN got 419 tmcft. But of this only 192 comes from the waters of Karnataka.. This is 13 tmcft less than what was awarded by the Interim Award. so much about the facts. Remember that though Cauvery is born in Madikeri, there are so many tributaries in TN and Kerela that keep her going. Every drop of rain all the way from Karnataka to TN to Kerela to Pondy contribute to her.. Just like each of us contribute to a Vibrant India. I wish we do not get short sighted or get bogged down by our insecurities and encourage such xenophobic thoughts against any state. each person is different and we should not add a caste/state/race angle to everything. I love my country. I speak proudly of its diversity when I meet people from other countries. What I see in this message board is not something that am proud of. But maybe I should look at it as children fight for attention from their mother. Whatever their fight, their mother loves them.. And so I suppose India would love you too. Jai Hind..
