RE:double standards of tamilnadu..
by siva shankar on Feb 05, 2007 05:18 PM  Permalink
hi

whoever you are, please think first as an Indian. You too don't fall in these political games. We can't be expecting Mother Nature to intervene everytime and avoid heavy clashes between the two awesome southern states. None is superior or inferior statewise. You can mock any political leader as you might have your own reasons to do so. Above all, this is one good oppurtunity towards helping thy neighbour and ultimately the right step towards creating a much better unified India.

If the other Tamilians were thinking themselves as Indians, they 'd 've seen the gross injustice done to Karnataka...It's not a political game anymore, as you might be seeing from your high pedestal. People around Mandya, Mysore are committing suicide..

Nerved, angry man is duff and dump! Fine words will reach no one. It is silly politicians who clearly carve such silly chapters from Kashmir to Kanniyakumari. They should be hanged. If we go back to read the history and root cause of every indian issues you can see 'silly politics' there.

Comeon India! You have someother to do... dont be a easy catch of politicians

This is not a matter for Emotion
by m prabath kumar on Feb 05, 2007 05:08 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Rivers are Gift of Nature, All living beings having right to use that.It is mans geedy to stop river by building dam across the it. It his foolishness to deny sharing water. If the water is comming from karnataka tamil nadu produce Electricity from it return back to karnataka, cultivating food crops and supplying it to entire country. If we think to stop river the entire life chain get affected. First we want stop thinking "karnataka or Tamil Nadu". "Think Globally and act Locally". This will kill all disputes. More than all we want to stop nonsense Poltician.

Yes this is not a matter for emotion, but look at the way Karnataka is being treated. Be it classical language issue, border issue or water issue or anything for that matter, the centre has ensured that Karnataka always is at loss. How do you say this is not a matter for emotion.

I lived in Chennai, for 4 years, working for public sector company. In the T. Nagar colony, where I was living in a rented apartment, was forced and pulled and abrruptly to leave the apartment, the only mistake was, I was a Kannadiga. The person, who was replacing me, was a Tamilian, known to the owner and has great incluence over the area.

When I asked for my neighbours help, nobody bother to help me. because I was Kannadiga.

Know tell me, Mr. K Chandu LEAN COEXISTECE FROM THE TAMILS is true......

Let People, True Indian decide...

The same is true for Madrasis living in the North as well. Atleast Northies do not face what Thackerey-Sena did to Tamilians, same in Delhi (after Rajiv's death, after JJ withdrew support especially)
But my question is what grouse do Kannadigas have against Chennai?

Once in Chennai you become a Madrasi, a true south Indian, no matter where you come from rest of TN, AP, KL, or KN. That is because the city has accepted a certain image. Bengaluru despite being a superior city in terms of wealth and education, is still searching for an identity and is trying to deny it's cultural roots. And that reflects in the constant friction and violence. As Tamilians we are proud of what Bangalore has achieved in a short span, we see no competition but as an asset to our overall South Indian identity, but some Kannadigas are ashamed to be associated with Tamilians, most of them hate Chennai for no good reason.

Cauvery tribunal gives TN 419 tmcft, 270 to Karnataka
by Vikrant N on Feb 05, 2007 05:07 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Hi Indians,

First of all pls. think that we all are Indians rather than Kannadiga or Tamilian. We are not Bush or Saddam fighthing each other. The problem is due to the stupid politicians from Karnataka & TN who always creates the problem between the two neighbouring states but the educated & civilised people have to think before giving any comments. This is just a verdict which again can be callenged again & it make take another couple of years to get another judgement which again can be challenged & vice versa. No Kannada or Tamilian has the right to say the employees to get outside their state because it is the corporate's who are recruiting & paying the salary & not them. God please save Indian people ...
