Because the politics of karnataka leaders the situation of the karnataka with regards to cauvery taken a painful twist. which should have been avoided, if they have taken a firm stand, for the state instead of self interest.

may the good conscience of all the involved prevail.

Cauvery Water Tribunal Award
by Shridhar Iyer on Feb 05, 2007 02:44 PM  Permalink

Feb 05, 2007.

It is good that the Award has come out atlast, after many years. Hopefully it should resolve the issue between the two states.

Instead of politicising the issue and take to the streets, I would be glad if both the States accept the award, and implement it in letter and spirit with immediate effect.

With best wishes to both the States,

Srinivasan.

Hi Saravaranan,

by mohan hm on Feb 05, 2007 02:44 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It's a bad politics from central government to please TN and it's CM, poor karnatka always fail to protect state interest and the outcome of this panel verdict cause violence in Karnataka, Panel have taken annual rain fall in the cauvery basin and given proper rule based on requirement and availability of water.

Without knowing the parameters the panel considered before giveing a statement, its highly unfiar for anybody to raise their voice againist others. Calm down...understand and raise ur voice only when u know something about it...JaiHIND

I think we need to protest in the right away.. We can't let TN run away with all water like this ..there should be a proper representation from we people to state govt and from them to the centre .. This is grossly unfair .. We cant let an old man blackmail centre and take away water which is rightfully ours

There is no justice for karnataka at all. Kaveri is Karnataka's and we hav to give large share of water to TN. The verdict is bullshit.

This is pure abuse; Is that written in constitution as Kaveri belongs to Karnataka? On what basis u are saying that? Any resource in India is property of each and every citizen of India. First you prove your statement in any of court...
