kaveri water dispute
by Manjunath Kallaveriah on Feb 05, 2007 02:58 PM  Permalink

This is not a fair decision from tribunal - It's very sad that our farmers are already suffering from other problems know its kaveri water is also been taken away from them. It's injustice to farmers of karnataka.

I strongly urge the government to go all out against the verdict. In the long run our states economy will be ruined if 420tmcft is given to them.Let the karnataka politicians be assured that the people are with them.
Jai karnataka

Karnataka requires water for drinking purpose but tamilnadu is using the same for irrigation man should be survive to do irrigation so drinking water is a must. This is totally unfair verdict given by the court. As an indian a general opinion is unjust verdict to karnataka

i am bebgali born in west bengal.. but i am brought up in bangalore, karnataka, where i get my education and job..So its no doubt to say karnataka is my another motherland..I am really disappointed to see their annopuncement..I dnt know whether those court didnt check the present condition of karnataka???so many farmers committed suicide..but their sacrifice is totally going to be wasted..Its predicted that last wprld war will start because of water.. may be this is the begining..

why inadequate information
by on Feb 05, 2007 02:56 PM  Permalink

on what basis the decision to award TN 419TMC, Karnataka 270TMC, Puduchery 70TMC and Kerala 30TMC. on what basis? common people need to understand. if the concerned authorities do not take people into confidence, it gives scope to the anti-social elements to MISINFORM people.

how could the TN be awarded more water than the Karnataka?

instead the water could be proportionately....in terms of water availability rather than the water needed.

please inform the public...the farmers who are completely dependent on water for their livelihood.

thanks
