An appeal
by sivakumar ramachandran on Feb 05, 2007 03:00 PM  Permalink

The verdict can have serious consequences to the lives and properties of Tamilians and Kannadigas living in Karnataka and Tamilnadu respectively.

I sincerely appeal to all Kannadigas and Tamilians of the 2 states to think that we are "Indians first"- this the only way to digest the issue.

Tribunal not for truth
by sheshadri sheshadri on Feb 05, 2007 03:00 PM  Permalink

Its pathetic hearing what's happening around, I am from Bangalore and know the situation what we are facing out here. There are many locales in Bangalore which gets water only once in a week. When we don't have water here for our atleast basic needs , the tribunal is forcing us and is titilliating us.

CAUVERY WATER DISPUTE
by RAGHU NANDA on Feb 05, 2007 02:59 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It is really unfair decision. Karnataka should go to World Justice Form as Karnataka has failed his faith on Indian Government. Karnataka should fight for separate Nation, if such injustice is come against Karnataka as it is weak in Political power.

And I have always agreed, the contract between Karnataka as an entity and the Center has to be mutually profitable. Karnataka only gives and gives, while the Center takes and distributes. It's time we re-negotiate the contract or at least entertain the thought of an independent nation.

Very Bad verdict
by Bobby g on Feb 05, 2007 02:59 PM  Permalink

Its very unfair for Karnataka. Tamilnadu poiticians have not provided basic neccessities for its farmers and has been bullying karnataka for water.Inspite of giving double of the water in 1991 now again award 420 tmcft is crazy. Its shame for Tamil people who are known for Bullying others.
