This is unfair to our govt. First n formost we our karnatka people doesn't get cauvery water daily, they leave 2 days once that too without giving to TN now after sharing with TN I think so we hardly get cauvery water for drinking...???? all this is a political game n we fools r being supporting them .

Do you think in TN, kaveri is pumped non-stop to all households 24 hrs. You seem to know only half of the story.

Let not narrow concepts affect our thinking. At this rate, mandya district people can say that mysoreans should be given water only after giving them 24 hours water, coorgis will have similar arguments. We are all Indians and state borders are merely for administrative convenience and not to deny rights to people who have been enjoying it for centuries.

Big heart kannadiyan's
by on Feb 05, 2007 03:07 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

As tamil nadu has no origin of any of the big rivers, It is more important to share the water from cauvery for cultivation in the cauvery delta area. Tamil nandu people cannot belong to only rain, ground and sea (TN have a plan to make drinking water from sea water) water.

We all Indians has to make sure that there will be no more starving for water in entire nation.

India Chindabad!!

Pathetic Politics
by jay rao on Feb 05, 2007 03:07 PM  Permalink

Whose water & who is justifying & who is deciding?, The whole world is welcome to Karnataka,But nobody can dictate what needs to be shared, People of Karnataka should get first priority on cauvery, People talk about tanjore, But do they know lakhs of farmers who died in north karnataka last year, First lets stay alive with water , then we can do so much more to others & that includses tamilnadu, As far as the judgement goes, another joke which will last another 16years in court & FOR SURE THIS JUDGEMENT WILL NEVER BE IMPLEMENTED.
nothing against tamilians, but if we are pushed to a corner, the whole world would regret it, Our patience cannot be taken for granted.

I am a Kannadiga myself but would like to add a word of caution to people like Seshadri. Pl remember that there lakhs of Kannadigas living outside Karnataka, even outside India. Talking of kicking out tamilians will lead to retaliation. As a Kannadiga, is this what you want. Lets remember we are all Indians.

If we are not happy with the verdict, we must see whether there is scope to file appeal in the Supreme Court instead of taking law into our own hands

Injustice to Karnataka
by Shiv Nijaguli on Feb 05, 2007 03:06 PM  Permalink

The central government must have played a major role in influencing the decion. Now the so called Opposition will say the ruling Govt has done nothing, instead of trying to stop the influence of the Central Government.

The percentage in the difference of sharing the water is huge which is not tolarable by the Karnatakians.
