Please remember that Tanjur delta gives rice to all the southern states and rice is a water standing crop. Please undetstand that TN has requirements to cultivate rice... for the nation (apart from Punjab, UP etc.,) Please don't put rascist remarks on any particular state or community... ( I heard sometime mentioning that Tamils are responsible for spoiling bangalore culture and tamils should be kicked out of bangalore) Please be Indians fight and fight legally for ur rights..

Where the farmes in Karnataka is not allowed to grow more than one round of crops, the tamil nadu cauvey delta farmers raise 3 crops round the year and you talk of Tanjur Delta. Come to Mandya and see. It can grow better if given enough of water for three crops. W

raising 3 crops in cauvery delta totaly false. Dont get mis-informed. I have been involved in farming sine 1987 in cauvery delta, this has never happended.
Water is a more and more scarce resource, it has to used properly amoung entire river basin.
We need have integrated irrigation system amoung cauvery river farmers, irrespective of which state you are. We need develop innovative methods of irrigation to share the water amoung entire cauvery river population.
After a long time farmers in the Cauvery delta have got justice, I only hope that this time they really get it. Karnataka should realize that Cauvery is not their personal property. Cauvery has been the lifeline of TN since ancient times. Karnataka should honour the verdict and let water flow into the delta at least now!
what ever be the decision given by tribunal we should not accept. we have to fight back. Our state should get around 500 tmc. Many farmers are depending on the Kaveri River for their livelihood.
This is expected from the Supreme court!!!!!!!!! Because Central government wants to disturb the Karnataka people. Where all IT Companies(Professionals)in Bangalore should go for water !!!!!!!!!!!! To Sonia Gandhi's house or Karunananidhi's house

Anyhow soon the people will forget the past. The tension will never last longer. Better be cautious of the curfew which is likely to he happend.
TN had originally asked for 562 TMC ft of water while Karnataka had demanded 465 TMC ft.
The logic seems to be that TN deserves more than KN ..the above stmt is from NDTV.com more over the first line is "The Cauvery Tribunal has given its verdict on the water sharing dispute and it seems to be a bit of a balancing act"
