There is no way we Kannadigas can leave so much of water as there is scarcity of water for drinking it self. TN People want 65 % Cavery Water even if the river originates in Karnataka. 1.Want IT Jobs in Bangalore 2.Want Peace full Life in Bangalore .. 3.Want ... 4.want... 5.want...

Mr. Shri you are correct, As i have to meet my needs am in Bahrain,,and i dont talk bad about other states,, Tamilnadu has everything so why does Shankar worry and complains about tamils having a good life in Karnataka. Many kanadigas have forgotten that the leading population in the Hill district of Nilgiris has the Badaga tribes who immigrated from Karnataka during Tipu Sultans period. We tamils treat them as tamils
I hate to see people talking tamilians and bangaloreans, what is the difference they find in us, only thing is language. We are your brothers i am thirsty why you hesitate to give us water. We are your brothers please please think. It is really making me cry, words like sewage, kick them out, boots what is there to show your anger. we are your fellow countrymen we are not strangers. Let god save us. Please do join hands to save each other.

All these sad words of you are ok but why you people don't learn/respect the language of this land(KA)despite living here since years. I have seen Tamils living in KA for more than 20/30 years without knowing/respecting this language.....but in TN (Especially Chennai) people who don't know Tamil are ill-treated.but in KA we've learnt your language, we speak to you in your language that's the kind of magnanimosity Kannadigas have.
You people don't respect our language on our own land...this has made my friend to call you-sewage, craps etc.
We are the real true Indians learning and respecting all other languages and we expect the same from other Indians who come to KA to respect and try learning our language....and to make this happen we don't do anything what a Tamil does in TN.
Ever since childhood I was taught that we are all Indians first. This is what I believe in. If there is an issue affecting the people of Karnataka, it affect me too because I work and live there (n Bangalore), regardless of the fact that I was born in Kerala. Right now I am sitting in my office and wondering, why violence? And that too on people coming here to work, to earn a living...? More than anything else it's the handiwork of our leaders and antisocial elements (yes, in the same breath)

Hi,
You are right. We should share it and not fight for it. But a state should not be denied its rightful share of water and it is not anybody's own property to be denied right to. It is not the question of Tamilnadu giving water to other states. It is the question of the Cauvery water between Karnataka and the other three states. I understand and respect your sentiments and feelings. I request the same from you for the farmers of Tamilnadu. Of course, no one can forget the violence and the damage that is being done to the Tamilians and the property of Tamilians in Karnataka each and every time there is a dispute over the issue. Don't be emotional and please try to look at the issue from a considerate angle. Thanks.
As civilised people, we have to galdly and fully accept abd honour the verdict of the tribunal. Both state govts have to now think and plan as how to solve the problem of balance water requirements for the present and future. Jai Hind. S. Durai manikkam.

What in the hell u know abt. the Indian Judiciary? Corruption is not there in any country? Violence is not there in any country? Mind it before wording it. How many judgements have u come accross? Do U know how many judgements are given in a day which are corrupt free? Don't throw words as u like it. Thanks.
Please note that verdict does not say that Karnataka should release 419 TMC to TN. It only says that TN should get 419 TMC out of total of 740 TMC available in Cauvery. For TN to get 419 TMC, Karnataka needs to release only 192 TMC. TN gets rest of water from Cauvery water capturing area in TN itself. This is 13 TMC less than tribunals' interim award of 205 TMC.
Out of 192 TMC that TN gets from Karnataka, it has to release 30 TMC to Kerala and 7 TMC to Pondicherry.
So, unlike the media projects, verdict is not against Karnataka. It is more or less in line with interim verdict only.
Infact karnataka get more share than TN. Understand the reality..

Common Sense!!!
Our beloved educated(?) netizans lost their brains somewhere. Got erupted! Why this and from where this is been nerved and for what? and who are we acutally when we point our near ones as other?
It requires more than common sense to understand. The silly politicans had well carved graveyards all over this nation.

That was excellent interpreation. How I wish people also could interpret in the same spirit. And any which ways, I think people should be much more human towards each other and not act such beastly.
I am a Tamilian but I reside in Bangalore. I am sure I can't live peacefully if somebody else in Tamil Nadu, Kerala or Puducherry dies because of lack of water...
I am sure it is the same case with all. Recall the Orisaa Floods when we did not celebrate Diwali with pomp and fare... The earthquakes in Bhuj and the Tsunamis in the Southern States...
We all talk now under the influence of anti-social elements.. but when it comes to disaster, we regret and feel bad for each other...

U R correct. Thanks for the analysis. If each and everyone starts thinking like this, then, there would be no violence and no bandhs over the issue anymore.

The only sensible message on this message board. Thanks for the very good clarification.
We are kannadigas and we are not begging the water from others. Its our own land river,we have right take a decession that how much we should give. This is a bad result from Cauvery Water Disputes Tribunal to our good exam. Better make us as different country. we have source to live.

keep all the water of kaveri in your state please do not put it in river kaveri when it rains more.
First of all please try to understand one thing. Before u r a Kannadigagaga you are an INDIAN. The basic thinking is missing because of which we are made a prey to political gimmicks. Next, the rivers or the water that is flowing belongs to the entire country and nobody need to beg anybody for the same. Whenever there is dispute the Government at the Center forms a Tribunal and the Cauvery Tribunal is one such tribunal. The judgement given now as has been analysed by a gentlemen is more or less same as the interim one and there is no reason to fume over it.
First behave as an INDIAN and then as a Kannadiga.
the tribunal should have given more clear judgement. At times when there is scanty rainfall in karnataka, it will be difficult to release 192tmc ft. Karnataka is the second most arid state of india. the decision should have been more scientific, Karnataka should not panic and should go on appeal of this verdict. I appeal to all the people of karnataka to maintain calm and peace at this crucial juncture.
