by vksathyajit on Feb 03, 2007 10:53 PM  Permalink

The Sena Victory in the BMC elections are an eye opener to the fact that the average mumbaikar is happy with the Sena-BJP combine....Peoples verdict...? yes it is.. Incumbancy or not.. it is a credit to win 3 times in a row.. lets not take away that...
Balasaheb.. this is your chance to prove your detractors wrong... Provide good administration, which takes care of the woes of the common man.. this will endear you to the masses, right in time for the next general elections.

Where are these SECULAR forces when Kashmiri Pundits are driven out of valley? Where do they hide when temples are destructed in Pakistan & Bangla Desh?
Shiv Sena MUST survive & prosper for Hinduism's future.

Some times the outcry of the facist foxes subdues the secular nightingale's voice.

But my friend u have to keep this in ur mind.

one thing is sure in this world, the most secular ruler will be very hard to defeat. This is very true in Chatrapati Shivaji Raje Bhonsle case itself. I do not have to tell more abt Chatrapati Shivaji here. The facist people can win in some places of India (like Aurangzeb, or Thackery). But finally SECULAR forces wins like Shivaji.

The very rediculous thing abt this fact is Shivsena climbs themselves as army of Shivaji. Please Thackeray, u r not fit to be his army. We need great Senapathy for the Shivaji's army.

I am not asking AFZAL TERRORIST to go. I am only against the rude words used by Thackerey. He should have asked in a way with out questioning his dignity.

I feel here Mr.Thackerey is quite blatently anti Islamic.

Afzal & Kalam
by niki surabi on Feb 03, 2007 10:42 PM  Permalink

It was a bold decision by the judiciary to award the death sentence. The file is technically with Kalaam, but its the left & congress thats holding it. For Thackeray, any muslim sounding name is good enough to bash up.
If Afzal had a good lawyer like Jethmalini, it might possibly have been a different story.
Afzal hand has the blood of a few innocent police men.
By that count, a few people like Thackeray allegdly has the blood of hundred's of innocent's mainly muslims blood on his hands. But with the power they wield, no body can touch them.
Such people get a long rope but then one day providence decides its high time & steps in. Hope these people redeem them selves well before this & escape the wrath of God. It will also help peace to reign in our country & there will be no more Afzal's in our glorious land.

Thackeray hates Kalam
by Southie on Feb 03, 2007 10:41 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Of course Thackeray hates Kalam. Kalam is Tamilian. Shiv Sena wanted to kick all Tamilians out of Mumbai in the 90s. The sad part is that no other groups in India condemned Shiv Sena for that.

Why blame Thackeray for telling the Truth? And bringing Kalam's Tamil descent is in bad Taste. I am a Tamilian by birth, but I whole heartedly support Thackeray. He is the only Politician in India who speaks [and acts] the Truth. All others are Hypocrites and are willing to sell the National Interests for Votes.Regarding your comment about Thackeray's Anti-Tamil outlook, that was in the Sixties.Compared to Karunanidhi and Ramadoss he is a Saint.

political mileage
by vijay on Feb 03, 2007 10:39 PM  Permalink

Bal thackeray is just playing with the sentiments of the public in order to gain some political mileage which may have bought him some sucess in the form of victory in BMC elections..but some of is comments are really objectionable like...
"All hindus should unite and bring islam down to its knees"
"I piss on the judgement of supreme court"
and the recent ones against the president.....
MR. Thackeray just because the constitution has given us the fundamental right of freedom and expression, this doesn't mean that you can say anything you want..please have some respect towards the constitution and people.

Do not speak abt dignity
by mahendra kumar ganesan on Feb 03, 2007 10:11 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This indicent guy is speaking abt dignity. We have to withstand it( I hope kalam too will handle it). Because here we have democracy. He told this statement after the election. It is interesting to see what would have happened if this statement would have been told prior to the election.

Mr.Kumar Ganesan,
Judge the Spirit of the Statement and not the words only.[Generally Thackeray is outspoken &candid unlike other Politicians] It is a fact that Kalam is sitting on a very important file for 4 months because he cann't act without the concurrence of the Eunuch Congress Govt. And the Govt. is shielding itself behind the President and allowing its'Leaders like Gulam nabi Azad to support the Terrorist Cause for Vote Banks! Are we here to indefinitely watch the Tamasha and only pounce on Nationalists like Thakeray
on Technical [verbal]grounds?

Afzal shoudle be hanged and we will be, but that will not solve the problem of terrorism in India. We should target the roots which produced people like Afzal Guru. There are may be several Afzal's freely leaving in country today.
Proper education is must, which is reduce haterate amoung each other and will help to create the socity free of communial racism. To do this media has a great role to play

Yes you are right Anubhav, but who support politiciens, its public. Crime is a crime and has to be punished according to the Indian laws.
But its the duty of citizens not to support people involved in any sort of crime.
