Nice
by Karthik Soundar on Feb 02, 2007 03:34 PM  Permalink

I really like his observation, particularly the SuperPower issue, its true the private sector is the one pussing for a great economy,i to have observed this, in chennai tharamani the silicone vally of TN there r marvelous buildings coming up but the road right in front of it is like worst in chennai.Y cant they put a good road in front of the golden egg laying goose?rather they spend money on giving TV to people.I felt like killing MK.People r doing y cant the Gov even support it? I hate these SOBs.

Do you have MORALITY still in you????
by Dr. Vinay Gupta on Feb 02, 2007 03:33 PM  Permalink

I think morality is there with more than 70% people of INDIA, most of the times.
I possess and exhibit morality atleast 95% of times, if not all the times. Similarly, I think others too have it in greater %.
Those who agree can put one liner endorsement and those who don't can do the opposite. When we count tomorrow, that will give us a sample result.

Brilliant
by Ranajit Bhattacharyya on Feb 02, 2007 03:08 PM  Permalink

Simply Brilliant obseravtaions. Wish the current ruling class thought and acted in the manner prescribed by the General. I firmly subscribe to his thoughts on the folly of creating Bangladesh instead "they should have BEEN ALLOWED TO stew in their own juice".

Mr Thapan should keep writing
by ramesh kurikela on Feb 02, 2007 03:01 PM  Permalink

Thank you 'Rediff' for posting such a wonderful and thought provoking interview. Thapan sir should keep writing as his ideas are clear and concise and reflects the reality of the present time. Certainly, this is one such article I have read through the end, so interesting and inspiring...honestly. I wish 'Rediff' would take further such actions in bringing to light the ideas and inspirations from great people who are not interested in writing but are willing to 'share' through such interviews.
