yes a very comlicated triangle.as a writer she should stay in our country as a guest till she gets a justified place to live without a danger to her life.NATURALLY NO MUSLIM COUNTRY AND BANGLADESH AS WELL WOULD LIKE TO SEE HER FACE. we must understand the muslim philosphy-they r not supposed to sob or utter any word during burial procession of a dead person but they cheer when they kill others including muslims and weep when their own is killed by anybody including muslims--a comlicated triangle-silence cheer weep.hindu society is the most flexible one in this world and they r the only and only one who pray"VISHAV MEIN SHANTI HO" in temples or during any gathering nad hence taslima's stay must be welcomed but it does not mean that hindu society is not having criminals. above all when u allow bangladeshi terrorists to stay in india to vote for u then why six month mercy-a double standard game lalit kumar
It is all about vote bank politics. Dr. Taslima's Lajja portrays the inhuman treatment meted out to the Hindus of Bangladesh. She is the only one from a pack of wolves who has spoken out against the systematic extermination of the Hindus of Bangladesh. That is the reason she is persona non-grata in her country of birth.
We can't expect this government to provide her a sanctuary in India. This government has scant regard for equitable justice. That does not buy them the votes. The writing is on the wall. Hindus are canon fodder because they have no unity and worse, some of the pseudo intellectuals from the community would rather wear the secular tag on their sleeves than read the writing. Watch out Dodo, your annihilation is not far!
These Bangladeshis look at India in times of trouble and start India bashing when evrything ok for them. Her reason for wanting to stay in India is also a mockery.
if tasleem lives then mira nair should also make free movies in india without any problems, i dont understand this hypocrisy mentality of these hindus.

hindus didnt issue fatwa for the life of mira nair. they just said, dont shoot the controversial film in varanasi. taslima was issued death threat for a book. not for shooting a film abusing islam in mecca. hypocracy is still with U_KNOW_WHICH_COMMUNITY

Thank Indian government for allowing her to stay in India. Don't blame hindus. Praise them for their generocity.I would not allowed her even one day!
Talisma may be a great writer, but she should not use India as her platform.India should should not get involved in such controvesies. This will create more conflict between Hindus and muslims in India who trying their level best to live harmoneously.

Antoni, Your statement indiactes to compromise for wrong things. India should adopt American style of democracy and policy. It should help and encourage who use free speach for development of a civil society. If America would have in place of India, Taslime would have got a greencard long back. But we should salute Taslima for her courage.
I think Indian intellectuals always think in air without substance, which has no solid conclusion like a big paradox.Intellectuals like Arudhanti Roy,Prafulla Bidwai can fight in the streets of Delhi for Afjul Guru , but they don't have any say for this brave prgressive lady who has suffered a lot in the hands of fundamentalists and like to live in a free country.Haven will not fall if we give her Indian citizenship. She will be asset for the country rather than threat. God save India...
Taslima is a one of the very rare person who has courage to taken on the islamic clergy. She is hated by muslim leaders who would like to kill Taslima. Forget Taslima, the current UPA govt. would even kick out their own mothers is exchange for muslim votes.
Hey Goverment! Fix her all paperworks now and let her live in kolkata as long as she wishes to. whats is the problem? there are hundreds of (slum) bangladeshi's entering benapol border without papers, and you are trying to show law to this helpless lady who needs india for survival.
bangladeshi muslims will kill her if they get her. knowlingly wonder why there is no asylum for her yet.
