Witnesses have no where to go, if they speak truth the accused will no leave them, if they dont, the court will. Thats why, people generally run from the crime scene, instead of helping.

You have rightly pointed out. It should be thought in this light. What can an electrician do under pressure from such high profile groups. The court is only adding trouble to these people's life as they are daily earners and cannot cope with our judicial expenses.

Reason for all this the politicians control the postings of Judges... & we got Independence too quick & our inexperienced, corrupt socialistic politicians took over the govt.... shud hv waited like Hong Kong....to get independence
This will become an example and will help reduce the chances of witnesses being hostile in due course of cases subjudice for whatsoever reasons. This step of the court deserves appreciation from every Indian.

Debasis, sorry to say but have you read the other judgement the court has given where witnesses may not get protection from the police. It cuts a sorry figure for the witnesses who have turned hostile. Some of them were unfortunate as they were not merry making there and are only staff members earning their livelihood. The court expenses and personal responsibilities are huge to fall into these things. How much time does it take to recover appearing expenses from the court, travelling, loss of livelihood etc ? The courts will never answer this, we know.
