The world is a crazy place. People are forever manipulated by wily politicians. These are the hard facts staring at people in most countries. The enemy is within.
Politicians are no holds barred to get their way and stay in the limelight. For Pakistanis, any anti India posturing will just get the votes. Any amount of hate without any basis to facts or accountability sells. Our politicians also indulge in similar fashion pitting one religion against other or within the religions.
Unless, these evils can be eliminated, people will pay the price. So many innocent people have been killed by these instigators, but the culprits survive forever.
Benazir wanted to be in power and was willing to use her people. She had always targeted India, though her own Zia pulled the lever suffocating her father. That is the irony. Pakistan is worse than us, as the majority are gullible. They can be repeatedly fooled by rhetorics as any peace with India will deal a blow to the very reason of their survival. Mushie and earlier leaders have no shame in approaching China, which is a communist country and hence atheist, with a begging bowl. But they play the religious card at home when it matters.
At the end of the day for Benazir, the anti India posturing was the lifeline as all others would fail, as being a woman in an Islamic country, was her greatest drawback. She paid with her life at the end. Her family party, PPP is also doomed and only further chaos is the reality.
Bhutto was as anti India as any Pakistani ISI or military or Maulvi. However it is possible that in her death, US (and thus the world including India) lost an opportunity to eradicate Madrasas and nuclear weapons from our neighborhood. She agreed to be a US puppet and chances were that in order to consolidate her power against Pakistan military and mullahs (PML-Q was her enemy), and also to make sure that 1.5 billion dollar corruption cases against her were forever forgotten, it would be fair to assume that she would have done the US bidding at least for a year. Musharraf had reached a point where he was hesitant to do more. Us was concerned that demand for democracy was increasing in Pakistan. They tried to turn it to their advantage by planning to bring in Bhutto who would also replace Musharraf eventuially or at least to create competition between the two to be on the right side of US. It would have been quite possible that once in power, stabilized and corruption cases forgiven, she would have played politics with all sides including terrorists. Butto was immporal and corrupt. She was rightly a victim of assassination. I was saddened by her death because US plans were disrupted. Why can%u2019t our RAW engineer such assassinations and patronize Pakistani politicians and Taliban terrorists. If we gave millions to Masud (afghani terrorist) and told him Azad Kashmir would be for him to rule along with a section of Afghanistan, there is a good chance e would do India%u2019s bidding.

Everyone will feel bad about someone being killed by terrorists, but it should exceed proportions. Benazir has always talked some stuff when out of power, but when in power did exactly the opposite things. Please see how the relations between india and pakistan are during her period, facts will indicate that she is responsible for the terrorist activities in india.
I have not seen the Prime minister issue statements about indian people who lost their lives saving the indian parliament.
Media and people should first mourn our indians who have lost lives saving our country from terrorists. I dont mean that they should not mourn anyone else, but please dont go overboard.
She was no exception. With us Indians, what did she do in order to create good relations? She just bargained for Pakistan, that was just natural. She had never stopped taking stern measures wherever possible against us. And democracy? Without democracy, she'd be zero - it was for her sake primarily. For the so-called secular parties, the loss is tremendous for the subcontinent, it's their loss anyway, let them shed tears to raise the ocean level a few inches higher but in reality she was insignificant to us, a big zero, rather negative. She's a dead person, nothing to discuss except the media hype for sale.

Dear Reader( friends)just glance about Present Politics of Indian & Pakistan. now tell me who is real seculer leader in pakistan? you wont get a single politicians, who ever leader is there in Pakistan & in India all are belongs to same Group before Independence !( Indian National Congeress- Nehru fraction & Ginna Fraction both learnt in same school of politics..!! both of them Ruled respective state by same formula..!! even now the same "formula is working out" in both the nation.! But "issues", presentation skill are different.!! NOW you Just think "anybody can expect peace from these political idealogist?" can they make peaceful south-east asia.??? It is really a fate of "pakistan" as well as as "India". BUT here Americans are Winner.!!
One final un bisased view after all these days, rediff must be applauded for this. For sometime the entire media was mourning as if an indian leader has died and the loss is irrecoverable.
Some newscasters have become emotional, i dont think that people should really feel bad about something that happens in Pakistan, when we have our own set of problems to cover.
For a few days there has been no news on all the channels excpt for this. I agree the 24 hour news chnnels should telecast some rubbish, but this kind of hippocracy is totally unacceptable, Healines today has was running relpays of news already telecased as if it were the runout or six of a cricket match, which once again proved that they dont have any content to show except wait for incidents to happen.

Zardari like Sonia is naturally happy now its sympathy vote and back seat driving. Loot/rule without responsibility. He has done this before and he will do it again. Even Allah may not be able to save pakistan from this sc*undrel.
