You've suggested the best thing that can happen to WB but how can that be possible? The Bangladeshi party need to be thrown out to the Bay of Bengal else WB has really no future. This state was at the top earlier, at the forefront of this country, it had produced as many great people in the past and now brought in so many jackasses from the Bangladesh that did not only ruin the economy of WB, but ruined the reputation of our country also internationally. Can Buddha change? No, it's just mere vote politics. My only surprise is why he's trying to appear like a good man - he has mandate of his party, support of the slave Italian party in Delhi, has plenty of cadres who replace the actual police. This showbiz is just not necessary.

For your kind info., most of these gr8 ppl u r talking about are originaly from Bangaladesh...almost all famous bengali personilities came here (WB) b4 or after partition.... and if WB has no future, then the whole country has no future...open you eyes and mind...don't copy/paste what u r reading in some media...think logicaly or stop thinking!

You've picked up one particular point only but you really have no reason to feel upset. In undivided India also, there were no less great sons of India from West Bengal (if you geographically view it) - in fact, the more study I made since you wrote this post, it became apparently clear to me at least. See, the great Ashutosh Mukherjee, SP Mukherjee, DeshBondhu CR DAS, Rash Behari Bose, Rabindranath Tagore, Swami Vivekananda, RamKrishna ParamHansaDev, Netaji SC Bose (although born in Cuttack, he was from Kolkata only) etc (the list is pretty long...) - there are numerous examples. You don't have to feel ashamed that Bengalees from East Bengal only contributed to our nations freedom. I am no way traducing them but you must not have a wrong and lowly feeling regarding this. Compared to them, consider your ruling Bangladeshi party who created your state a trash, people don't think about doing business there, businessmen consider your place only for cheapest labor, the strikes and shutdowns - this culture is brought in by them and the latest is N'gram kinda episode. Do you consider these are making your state any glorious?

Karat said about withdrawal of support if Cong govt goes ahead with N-deal. Cong has back-treated, actually they were waiting for Gujrat poll. Now Cong will not say about n-deal anymore.
Nobody (including opposition parties, Election Commission etc) reported any rigging or terrorising voters in the recent election in Gujarat. But in every election in WB, CPM is intimidating & terroriing peoples at gun point to get votes & winning elections. It must renamed to CPM - Criminal Peoples Movement & banned from elections.

Nothing will happen to Marxist Party in West Bengal in elections as there the citizens have no right to caste their votes, party cadres do everything on behalf of the voters. i think buddha has done a good job in WB. the west bengal was least developed state before buddha came into power. he has done a marvelous job and deserve its credit. you should not judge him only by land acquisition in nandigram. his motive was for the development of the state. i dont like the policies of communists but the buddha's govt is different from that.

You may be right but he does not have setup for development. I have lived in Kolkata for 6 months and I can clearly say that bengali people need a lot more enlightment and learning attittude than what they have now. Bengali people don't want development as it need hard work and bring more responsibilities, which they don't want. They just want sitting in house and some one should pay money. Thats it.

With ref to Mohit : how far have you studied?...I mean are you even a literate Indian to say that West Bengal was the least developed before Budhdha came...go back to your native state and see the condition there...90% people of your state don have the basic intelligence and analytical level that Bengalis have...n please do educate yourself with Indian history before letting loose such irresponsible comments...u shd always keep in mind that " a little learning is a dangerous thing".

Yes you know the ground reality of West Bengal and CPM there. Voters opinion will never reflets in the elections as the people with opposite political views are not allowed to exercize their rights, that will be done by party cadres in that particular area. Opposition is nothing but zero. Their congress has leaders like Pranab Mukharjee, Priya Ranjan Das Munshi, those who can never win corporation election in their own and doing boot polish at No.10 Janpat to survive.
