I feel for you man. You have gone through a lot. Let this be an exercise to all new students to not blindly go by the websites and propectus of the Universities and goto grad schools that way. Apply to the very best schools (In the Top 50 or so), make sure these schools treat their international stduents well enough by talking to the existing students and only the make the trip across. Joining a grad school in the US is not guaranteed to be a great experience and as you described it can be hell in some univs. If you dont get admitted to the very good schools dont plan to goto US at all. I know a sizeable number of students who have gone to the top 50 schools and have had little or no issues. My experience at Stony brook university was more than exceptional as was other students during my stay. So its not bad in every school... Good luckw ith your situation Sesha, and try to get a transfer to a better and more hospitable school
Dear Mr. Kollipara, I%u2019ve received your messages, and was told by a colleague that you phoned. I am so sorry that you are having difficulties there in the U.S. I'm afraid there's not anything I can do to help though. I suggest you get in touch with the International Student Services, and maybe even to ask for a chance to speak to a campus counselor there at the University. It sounds like you're under considerable stress, and you must take care of that.
As to the judicial review - talk to the counselor about why you initially pleaded guilty, and seek their guidance on what you should now do. It also is a good idea to talk with the Indian Consulate there if possible.
I wish you the best of luck through these difficult times, and hope this is all resolved so you can continue your studies successfully.

It is greed for money that kills people by such incideces. I know some of the people who told foreiners that British rule in India was good. I just wander this is the education thier parents tought them.

ey petere, It is greed for money that kills people, He came upon those people who explained to aliens that British Rule in India would have been better, He questions the education that the western parents give their children which leads them to do these heinous crimes.
After reading all the comments below, I feel compelled to say - most of the comments come from perceptions/emotions, and not based on reality. Consider- if 2 Nepali students die in Indian Univ campus, would your reaction be same?; This is a personal loss (and I offer sincere condolences to the family), but it is certainly not a national / political issue. The Govt has no role as some suggest. It's a pure local police/administrartion issue. When Indian Army soldiers die in Kashmir fighting terrorists - that's national issue, but it gets no news - I don't know if that's good/bad/right/wrong - but, that's reality; Reality is murders happen - sad, but they happen; and finally, when there are a billion plus of us on this planet, life gets that much cheaper - again, sounds callous, but reality.. remember over 100 people have been killed by blue line buses this year alone in new Delhi, & who really cares??
I dont want to hurt the sentiments of any Bharathiya. Did any one thought about the students of what they were up to. I mean does any one thought about the character of the students in terms of dealing with blacks in US? I think there was something story behind this killing.
