Thanks for being one of the rare columnist who has been objective. (But let me warn you that you may have to follow Varsha Bhosle & Rajeev Srinivasan out of Rediff if you continue to write this way.) You are absolutely write about your observations about English Channels. The crestfallen faces of Rajdeep and Co. were treat to watch. To top it all they could not get their usual consolations like Reduction in Vote Percentage etc. Hence,now, the channels resorting to BJP vs. Modi propoganda. Conviniently they are forgetting TOTAL DEFEAT of Sonia and the channels themselves. It is really shame that even after so many slaps in the face, these people are not ready to accept their mistakes - Truly thick skinned indeed. Many Hindus believe that but for people like Bal Thackrey and Modi, we will lose our right to live in India. If Congress rules for few more years, safe place for Hindus will be out side India. Long Live Modi.....

Is it such a big deal that one gets certified as man of perfection only when he visits US.
Just bcoz Sonia Gandhi gets a visa to visit US, does she a perfectionist. She cant match Modi in any discipline, which was very obvious in this election. She can just read a page (written by someone) without even knowing the meaning of the contents like a LKG student does.

After the resounding victory of Narendra Modi, the English news channels need to do some soul searching. Their evident bias is now telling.
The more they aired Anti-Modi shows the more Hindus voted for Modi.The margin would have surely been much lesser but leeches like Rajdeep Sardesai, Barkha Dutt, Praful Bidwai(Where's he gone from Rediff) goaded people to come out and support Modi.
In contrast to the English TV channels I found Hindi channels much better.Star News with M.J.Akbar was quite balanced and in the evening I saw probably the best show on Sahara Samay(with Punya Prasun Bajpeyi - one of the better anchors). It was a discussion with Lord Meghnad Desai(He predicted Modi will be PM after the next to next General Election) to which noted sociologist Ashish Nandi said he'll prefer to die before Modi becomes PM. Their difference of opinion was obvious yet the show was very refreshing.

Seriously dude, Lets start it, thats when they realize that Public cant be taken for granted. I stopped watching Ibn and NDTV , because of their Bias reporting.
IBN and NDTV have a strong Personal relation with CPM find ou in wikipedia about the main anchors you will get to know the truth behind JP bashing !
Lets boycott the main News Channel, I guess even DD news is owned by the Congress so its better we read some neutral media were points expressed are geninue and un biased !

I am also born in Chennai and brought up in Karnataka, i have a great affinity towards tamilnadu. After kamaraj tamilnadu doesnt have a good rule over the 40 years tamilnadu is ruled either by DMK OR AIADMK where corruption is upto the core level. Who were toiling for 5 rs. now become crorepathi. A ruler like modi will bring TN to the first place in India I dont know when it will happen
