RE:Modi is great, say with pride we are Hindus
by amit jain on Dec 24, 2007 03:40 PM  Permalink
A strong hand against Islamic terrorism is a must, else we will descend into the chaos called Pakistan and Afghanistan. Where there is no rule, no institutions, only Mullahs issuing fatwas, and shooting people in public glare for petty crimes. We cannot let this happen.

In Pakistan, they asked doctors to amputate hands and feet for shariah crimes. But the doctors refused so now only stoning to death is allowed.

If the wrongs of Congress which is hurting majority in Inida is considered as right, then what is wrong with so called wrongs of Modi which is seen as hurting a minor section ? This kind of opinion expressed in your message can only tend create more tension among the sections. A common man is really not bothered about what these politicians do to stick on to power. What he wants is piece, development and prosperity as we go along.

what were his wrongs.

hindus in gujarat had been at receiving end due to aggressive atttitude of muslims, encouraged by congress.

this resulted in riots in 1946, 1969 (before modi or BJP were born), 1981, 1985 and many more minor ones.

this led to a situation where muslims could think of burning a train with hindu women and children, not realising the backleash that it can release.

and now, they are calling it modi's wrongs.

killing anyone is wrong, but, it cannot be one-sided.

muslmis want secularism when they are minority, but if in majority, there are no rights for people of other religions.

in islamic countries, other religions cannot convert any muslim to their religion (it is punishable by death), as a witness, a non-muslim is worth half of a muslim and all that.

and such people are crying that muslims in india do not have right.

only if muslims start living like parsis, who do not disturb other religions, they will have a peaceful life.

but, it is not possible for them. they say that modi cannot get a visa for going to USA. two hoots for going to USA...

Modi and the secular media
by Jaganniwas Iyer on Dec 24, 2007 03:33 PM  Permalink

B Rsman's analysis of the Moditva phenomenon in the context of Hindu feelings is honest and incisive. But of course, the Rajdeep Sardesais and Barkha Dutts and Praful Bidwais will be busy dishing out more of their 'secular' nonsense. Time is not far off when these secular riff-raff will cease to matter.

Modi come in Every state
by ! on Dec 24, 2007 03:32 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

If BJP puts a man like modi in every state, BJP will govern all. Its unfortunate people like modi are less.
People are fed up of farcist, false & opportunist politicians like congress (even some BJP as well).

Those who grew up in independent India have been left with guilt.I mean the Hindus. The Congress brand of secularism has tried at one level to deny the Hindu of his Hindu identity. The reaction towards the BJP is but natural in the face of the Congress denial. At the street level one wants to be happy that one is a Hindu. Not the Congress brand of guilt ridden Hindu.

by Abdul on Dec 24, 2007 03:30 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I totally agree with this article. If a muslim like I am goes out of a meeting saying that he has to offer Namaz, there is no problem. But if a hindu comes late for Navratri day or anything,my boss (who is a Hindu) will scold him like anything.
The problem with Hindus is that they do not respect each other and they do not have respect for their religions which comes last in their priorities. So anyone reestablishing their confidence will be supported.

The greatness of our religion is - it says that humanity and other positive aspect of life are more important and are true 'Dharma' rather then hard following of pujas etc...

But this message sometime leads to ignorance regarding the our own religion.

Dear Abdul you are so right. The so called educated Hindus have been brain washed to think low of their faith. I have noticed people who are following their faith a nice way always shine in their work because they attribute the success to almighty. I have noticed this among good Muslims who are more focussed in what they do like artisans and carpenters and tailors. I am not talking about Jihadis here. The problem in India is with polititians who devide people.

modis outright win
by Balasubramanian Krishnan on Dec 24, 2007 03:30 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Modis win as influenced people like anything. But the fact of the truth is it is not the first time that a chief minister retains his seat for a third time consequtively. There are basus, lalus and so on and so on. Let them not gloat over it. There were too many chief ministers like him in the past and they too had to fail one day. Even the great alexander has his hey-day finally. Nevermind, enjoy the victory and try to learn something out of it.many People have reposed faith ( not the real majority) if you talk about majority in real sense, and if one is clever he will standby the peoples faith and work for the betterment as was being projected & proclaimed.Let them realise the burden rather than gloating over and look ahead for everyones welfare and the states and countries benefit.

The gloating is because the congress and stupid media were bent upon slandering Modi. It is true no body can be there all the time unless we have a dictator like Castro or Dynastic Nehru family supported by shameless an spine less chamchas. When some body wins the supporters gloat. So get over it.
