Both Gujarat and Mah (and i suspect karnataka) are hindutva states in that in these states the majority believe in a soft version of hindutva. Mr Modi due to good governance and "forced" redistricting has been able to convert this at the polls. In Mah it has failed because Mr Thackeray is not in favor of good governance and also due to the presence of the Sugar Lobby. Its only a matter of time before Mah falls to the hindutva bandwagon. However make no mistake we are all for hindutva we are not for hindi-vadi.

The Hindu's are not able to be united because they have been devided by birth, I'm soothra...I'm kshatriyaaa...I'm brahmana(Top)...Though an ST/SC is an IAS officer, he's still not given equality in Hinduism. U r right, Let Govt take the Mosques and churches and can maintain it. But it will not do, because the income from Mosque and churches are v v lower when comparing with Thirumala or any other temple. People are going to mosque or church for praying and not to offer kg's of gold to God(Obviously God do not require money or gold..people beleive tht instead he gives money). If Govt takes the mosques then they have to spend additional money and the same will be questioned by Suedo Hindu's.

what about the millions of money poured in mosques and churches to do conversions. If i take your words correctly govt has taken the temples only for money.But why govt is relaxing the conditions to mosque and churches that they need not account and show the money received by them.you have not seen nagoor dharga or velankanni church.the money received is much more than money received in a small temple taken by govt.

Yes, there are severe limitattions within Hinduism and reformation is a continuous process. All the more it is necessary to give primacy to secular Constitutional principles. Secular as normally interpreted in Indian Constitution means: 1. Separation of religion from affairs of state. 2. Privacy to practice ones own religion, inclduing freedom to change it or even create a new one! 3. Respect to all other religion and respect privacy of religion other religions.
Criticism of Shankaracharya, or Christ or Mohammad is encroaching into privacy of other's belief and practices, it vilates the letter and spirit of secular law.

At the same time if any swamiji or a mullah or a missonary violates any secular law, he is liable for same justice dispensation as any other citizen. This is also essence of secular law.
