A note on the 'rebels'
by Kumar on Dec 24, 2007 09:40 PM  Permalink

Instead of giving up a moral hight ground and supporting the corrupt 'rebel leaders', the BJP leadership struck with the corruption free and bold leader Mr. Modi. The BJP rebel leaders who were as corrupt as the Congressi leaders lost the elections whereas the honest Modi won. Going forward all the political parties should support corruption free leaders and not give way to the loud and vociforous corrupt leaders who switch parties, are boot lickers, claim to represent only a few castes and fight the elections as 'rebels', on being denied the party ticket. Any party/leader that loves India should support corruption free, development minded, ethical leaders like Mr. Modi. Gujarat leads, India follows, and I am not even a Gujarati but I still say this.

Ram of Today.
by Ballu on Dec 24, 2007 07:33 PM  Permalink

Hinduism accepts reform and todays result in Gujrat show that Hindu has risen above caste and creed to elect an OBC as CM. We pray for the day when he becomes PM( this is not a dream now) the day is not far away).

You and your brothers do not want and can not accept reforms. You follow and believe 1500 years old doctorin and are not progressive.

You need to learn and ride the wind of change. Everything else is temporary change is permenant. Give up barbaric doctrine and believe in our Ram of today(MODI).

Ram of today is an OBC. He is Modi and we are proud of him. I am so called upper caste Hindu and am proud of my OBC would be prime minister in waiting(After LK Advani).

Insha krishna he will be the PM soon after Advanis Tenure.

Jay Hind.

Is these What We Want??
by Contractor on Dec 24, 2007 06:41 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Sangh Parivar want Ram Rajya back. What does it mean? Does it mean- let Brahmins control education and the bureaucracy, let Kshatriyas rule govern, let Vaishyas manage businesses, trade and wealth, let Shudras be kicked out of schools to concentrate on menial work, let Dalits be kicked out of all cities and towns, and let other religions be kicked out of the country (because they didnt exist during the time of Rama)?

Dear Brother!

Stop this type of valueless arguments, might had some sense in the last century when government jobs are the only destination, where domination by a particular group said to existed.
Now most of the people don't prefer government jobs. In India it is recruitment free, if you are quqlified, possess all skills no doubt you are getting the good job now.
Your thought of job against community certificate is not at all good.Survival of the fittest is the right one for development of individual and the country.
Can you deny how many so called cabable SC/STs are the top bosses in many fields?
Throw your caste identity, even many private companies not asking the caste in their joining form, come and fight on equally poised grounds and win.

It means,Hindus, the majority community get what they rightfully deserve in an otherwise minority-appeasing Congress ruled India.

It also means only twochildren per househols and only 1 wife for each man.If anyone wants 4 wives and 16 children move to any Islamic republics or to the desert of the barbarians(Arabia)

About Free bees
by DINESH BABU on Dec 24, 2007 06:33 PM  Permalink

The article has rightly said about populist act by politicians.
For example, in Tamil Nadu free TVs.Free gas stoves.
Two days before the finance minister K.Anbazhagan warning people those who are selling the free TVS.
Why to give free items and then take action?
The freebies initiated by congress were the root cause of wide-spread corruption among politicians.

The truth is the people in need never benefitted by these schemes, but politician always. I seldom see this type of announcements by BJP CM's.

For the first time a journalist from rediff platform has written his or her heart out. This proves that rediff has some journalists who are not on payroll of LEFT OR CONGRESS. This is the first article on Modi written with honesty and truth. May be first time ever in the history of India. Congrats Kanchana for creating history! youaremypoetry@rediffmail.com

Idols are Better vote-getters than ideology!!
by Contractor on Dec 24, 2007 06:03 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

We abide by the vision of the authors of Indian Constitution, who envisaged an India where all religions will be treated equally and all citizens are free to practice any religion of their choice without fear of persecution. Yes, we are opposed to Hindutva and Sangh Parivar. Hindutva is different from Hinduism. Most followers of Hinduism, like the followers of any other religion are peaceful, non-violent and tolerant. Hindutva is a political ideology. It advocates use of violence, confuses nationality with culture and religion, is supremacist and exclusionary. It believes that only people who support it should have first class citizenship in India. All others should be second class citizens. Nazism in Germany under Hitler said the same thing. We all know what happened when Nazism was allowed to grow. Sangh Parivar is a loose network of organizations led by the RSS whose founders were admirers of Adolf Hitler.

DON'T EXAGGERATE THE FACTS- PART 2
by Atul Narayan on Dec 24, 2007 05:57 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Why do the riots only involve muslims, anywhere in the world? Because, they CAN'T CO-EXIST with non-muslims. In non-muslim countries, they live like normal citizens only till they are not sufficient to revolt. As soon as they realize that they are in sufficient control in a particular area, city etc., their religiously acquired character takes front seat. They become increasingly assertive to their demands, intolerant to other religious communities and this start the cycle of riots with first strike always coming their side. This character will continue to dominate psyche of muslims unless they stop following the book they consider sacred.
