CONCEDE ???
by Patrick on Dec 23, 2007 11:50 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

You got beat.. what is there to concede. Just realise and get rid of the arjun singh, pranab mukherjee's, karats, karuna's and the imams.

Be honest to the people.

Antonio maino knows her comfortable delhi is coming to a close. She might as well get better advisors. You should not descrate, humiliate and browbeat the majority community to win minority votes. She is promoting a policy of alienating the majority community.

When BJP wins in Karnataka, she might realise that the hindus are fed up of investing so much to earn the trust of the minority , who when in majority destroy the hindu life from saudi to bangladesh and malaysia.

muslim terrorism across the globe is increasing christian anger, buddist anger and hindu nationalism

Dawn of Fascism!!
by Tataghata Mukherjee on Dec 23, 2007 11:49 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I agree that it is too early to talk about Hindu Fascism..

Also, it is true that most Hindus do not care about the activities of VHP, Bajrang Dal, etc. It may be too early to call it Hindu Fascism. But again, there is convergence of ideas that is happening. The sense of supremacy amongst middle class and academia that is gaining traction because of booming economy, the need to identify ourselves closer to our prisitine religion because of rapid urbanization, the lack of tolerance towards opposing views, questioning of one's patriotism to define nationalism, etc, are all mainstream. They may not necessarily be aligning themselves with VHP, Bajrang Dal, BJP, etc, but they are definitely sympathetic in many ways. By condoning their acts, or by staying silent on their acts, or by being ambivalent about them, we are allowing certain prejudices to grow. It will catch up in a generation or two.

I believe it is the Dawn of Indian Hindu Fascism because I see the seeds for such covergence happening right now.
I could be completely wrong. That would be good for all of us. If it is indeed right, is it not better to take right precautions instead of brushing it aside?

RE:Dawn of Fascism!!
by Libran on Dec 23, 2007 11:57 AM  Permalink
You are indeed wrong. There is not a single incidence to prove Hindu fascism has dawned. Don't equate Gujarth's post-Godhar with fascism - That was a instant reaction - moreover it was not RSS or VHP design or controlled - they didn't have such a big clout. If it was fascism, the same tretment of Muslims would have continued. Muslims though grudgingly agree that they are safe under Modi!!
In other parts of too, H fascism has not dawned. Please support such serious allegations with facts - otherwise your ideas alonfe can be called fascist.

Congress concedes defeat in Gujarat
by Shankar on Dec 23, 2007 11:46 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Congress has shown political maturity and sagacity by conceding the defeat and mentioning that it is a great victory for Narendra Modi. At the same time to attribute it to divisive poilcies is a little simplistic and naive. Modi has won because of his brand of leadership which is assertive, positive, development oriented, brutally frank when it comes to taking a stand however "unpopular" or "politically incorrect" it may be according to the "pseudo Secularists" and over all having a nationlistic outlook.
He deserves this victory especially in the face of such adversity as a continued one sided media bashing targeting him for everything that has gone wrong (if at all).
Congrats Mr.Narendra Modi!

NOW MISSION SAVE SONIA
by Krish Koundy on Dec 23, 2007 11:44 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Congress reaction lines are always ready
IF CONGRESS FAES WELL ITS SONIA VICTORY, IF CONGRESS FARES BADLY THEN IT THE LOCAL CONGRESS LEADERS ARE RESPONSIBLE!

Congress unleashed brazen Sonia in to Gujarat polls. After her miserable failure, Sibals & Singhvis are now in Save Sonia mission. They will now say that Sonia is national leader and a state election results are not testimony to her popularity. It is like saying you made me bite the dust, but Im. still the winner! It is sure that Gujarat Elections have reduced Sonia to be a losing regional satrap and Narendra Modi to be a triumphant national leader, who will be out future prime minister.

Thanks Sonia, Rahul and Manmohn Singh
by Yogesh on Dec 23, 2007 11:41 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Thanks Sonia, Rahul and Manmohn Singh.
Keep on taking rallies in next elections everywhere.
Thanks for washing out Congress. After all it was the dream of MK Gandhi (whose name you always take).
As per the records, Congress has lost all the seats where the Queen took rallies and the prince did road shows (I am still not clear what he does in that, other than sitting on the Jeep)
