no bearing on Gujarat poll outcome, says Sibal
by Gurudutt kamath on Dec 23, 2007 11:16 AM  Permalink

Look at it positively. All, lety me repeat ALL that was done by media, congress, left of this country and the entire UPA, have gone solidly in favour of people of Gujrat to elect the BJP lead by Narendra Modi. Therefore, the first group to correctly realise is the"LEFT" Niloptal Basu,. who said Modi can be defeated only through ideologiocal war and not electrally. Therfefore, the goodsense has prevailed in "LEFT", but the congress and their UPA will take time and beatings more to come to the realisation of the true situations in the country.

Congrats Modi. You stand for Hindutva and Hindus supported You.Why BJP lost in centre because thet also followed the appeasment policy of congress when thet got power.Hope they studied from their mistake.Project Advani or Modi as the next PM and raise issues concerned by Hindus .The future is yours.

Sorry. u r wrong. BJP never came to power at center on its own. It had to tug along another 17 parties. With such compulsions, whatever they have achieved was great!!

But except 2 all these 17 parties are small and BJP got more than 183 seats. Now congress is governing with lesser than that.Next election BJP can cross 200 as projected by some opinion polls.BJP should prepare themselves and Project Modi or Advani as the next PM.

Congrats Mr.Modi
by Patrick on Dec 23, 2007 11:11 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This Modi must have clearly done extensive good. You cannot win elections a third time talking up differences. Even Jayalalitha who did a fantastic job keeping crime under check and solving chennai's water problem temporarily could only win 1/4 seats(ofcourse that in itself is a massive task in TN).

Other than the communists who rig the elections scientifically even laloo( super secular) and Chandrababu naidu( super urbane) could not accompolish. Mr. Modi, I may not agree with you. But I salute your governance and poltical acumen.

Congress should have other platforms to attract voters other than minority appeasement

RE:Congrats Mr.Modi
by Hooter on Dec 23, 2007 11:38 AM  Permalink
Patrick,

Modi ko tera shabhashi nahi chahiye ...

You people suck ... he did not ask for your appreciation.

Nor does it make any difference if you approve or disapprove.

You have to realise that there is a 60-odd crore Hindu community lives in present India & you simply can't ignore Hindus in their own land.

Gujarat is just the beginning ... pursue the same communal policies elsewhere in India & you will see half a dozen Modis ... you bet on that one !

Throw out the Congress & its Left allies
by Kumar on Dec 23, 2007 11:07 AM  Permalink

Congress may be the oldest political party in India. But its leadership is yet to learn not to shoot its mouth off. Its Italian President called Modi as a merchant of death. This phrase more aptly described the Congress performance in the state polls.

Congress stands for corruption, psedo-secularism, arrogance, chaos, etc. India invariably becomes weakened internally as well as externally under Congress rule. This is basically due to the dynastic politics and one family rule and the lack of leadership of stature.
