Congress outdated policies
by true tamilan on Dec 23, 2007 02:54 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Congress promised free tv and announced 15% allocation of budget money to muslim dominated districts.

It is high time congress get rid of all these populist and divide and rule policies and adapt to modern india.

People are looking for development where they can earn materials not alms.

Right. They talk of economics on one side and they offer populism during elections. Recently they have been talking about re-starting the Loan Melas (earlier perfected by Janardhan Poojari).

Modi has filed 2 Lakh cases against erring farmers who have not paid their electricity bills. It needs guts to take such a decision when elections are round the corner. Wish the economist PM understand this.

true true...i agree why shouldn't farmers pay electricity bill...i beleive its subsidised for them. I wish we had more narendrabhais in indi politics...rather than crooks like YSR reddy and karunaniddhi who promises TVs and free electricity to win elections, at the expence of tax payers

by siva kumar on Dec 23, 2007 02:49 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

At recently held National Development Councils meeting the veteran TamilNadu Chief Minister Mr.karunanidhi shook hands with Mr. Modi and wished him success in the elections.
That also seems to be one of the reasons for Modi's Victory..

Real Merchants of Death & Destruction
by shashwat on Dec 23, 2007 02:38 PM  Permalink

Real Merchants of deaths are congressmen and Kashmiri militants.
Congressmen indulged in mass-maassacre of sikhs in 1984. 10,000 sikhs killed in just 2 days.In Gujrat police opened fire at rioters at many places, but in 1984 police did not fire even a single bullet at the rioting mobs.
Kashmiri militants indulged in ethinic cleansing of Hindus in Kashmir valley, Congress watchs silently.
1984 sikh massacre and Kashmiri Pandit's plight are the two blots on Indian secularism which our secularists fail to see.

I am very much here.

I have seen a lot of posts asking about me.

I have not run away, but must concede that Narendra Modi has won the elections.

So, I humbly bow before the verdict of the people and apologize for everything that I have said.

Long live Narendra Modi. Down with congress.

Gujrat
by Abbas Rumani on Dec 23, 2007 02:32 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

BJP got 118 seat and Congress got 60 seat.
what it show is there are Gujrati support Congress and there are Gujrati who support BJP. Gujrati supporting BJP and Modi are in majority so they got more seat. Congress can't get 60 seat only on the basis of Muslim and Chiristan votes. surely there are Hindus who too have vote for congress.
What i am trying to say is it is Gujrati Voters who have decided which part government they want and whom they want to be their CM.
if that is the case why are some people here turning this discusion board in muslim bashing?

Correct.
It should not be used as a platform for muslim bashing.
As a matter of fact, muslims in Gujrat are prdominantly 'trading community' and enjoying excellent relationship with hindu customers. They want peace as all businessmen do.
Muslims in Gujrat are culturally and economically well developed. But they are politically weak in terms of vote percentage. It is 'CONGRESS' who makes 'muslims' an election issue in Gujrat all the time as they do elsewhere. This time also when election campaign was intiated on development plank, Congress supporting media started writing dilution in hindutva agenda. Further congress president came out with a phrase "maut ka saudagar' - merchant of death, thus bringing muslim issues into campaign debate.
Anyway, I do agree with 'Abbas Ramani' that election is election and it should not be considered as an occassion for 'community bashing'.

SONIA HIDES FROM MEDIA
by Krish Koundy on Dec 23, 2007 02:17 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Congress reaction lines are always ready
IF CONGRESS FARES WELL ITS SONIA VICTORY, IF CONGRESS FARES BADLY THEN IT THE LOCAL CONGRESS LEADERS ARE RESPONSIBLE!
Congress unleashed brazen Sonia in to Gujarat polls. After her miserable failure, Sibals & Singhvis are now in Save Sonia mission. They will now say that Sonia is national leader and a state election results are not testimony to her popularity. It is like saying you made me bite the dust, but Im. still the winner! It is sure that Gujarat Elections have reduced Sonia to be a losing regional satrap and Narendra Modi to be a triumphant national leader, who will be out future prime minister.
