Being a Christian, I feel BJP is a more secular and moderate than Congress. Congress is Pro Muslim from day one, even if it means suppressing Hindus, Sikhs and Christians.

Mr T, Simple logic, No one can deny that when British was ruling India, Bengal was very prosperous, no other state could compete with it. I agree, mr Amit See, I ahve been in Bengal, and I know what these real "Merchants of death" do.... the CPM simply cannot tolerate any force growing stronger than them. When they saw that the BUPC was gaining ground in Nandigram (Khejuri and Garchaberia), the hi command in the party arranged for huge arsenal of firearms and gave it to party workers to kill BUPC people. In this way they brought out a procession to show that thay "Regained" Nandigram!!!!!! Are we in the 21st cenury at alll?????

If in Nandigram violence was a political one, in Gujarat it was a communal violence. So Gujarat violence is entirely different from Nandigram violence. In the name of Godhra train accident, the BJP burnt almost all the Muslims houses in Gujarat but what was in Nandigram, in Nandigram, the TMC burnt CPM's supporters and CPM supporters burnt TMC's supporters house. Moreover, more that 28 CPM supporters were killed in Nandigram. So Nandigram is not comparable with Gujarat violence

Oh, really Mr Tathagata??? Then let me give you a taste of your own medicine. In Karimnagar in AP and Orissa, farmers were protesting against the Land Acquisition for Industry. The CPM lent its support to the farmers and said that the YSR government was to blame! When the same thing happened in Nandigram, they changed their stance!!!! How much more of a chameleon can they be!!! CPM has no ideology, its only motto is to somehow stay in power. AND I SAY THIS STAYIN IN BENGAL FOR A LONG TIME. To the other people on this rediff blog, please disregard Mr tathagata's posts. He is just an advertiser for the CPM. Take it from me, the CPM has done NOTHING for the common and social good in Bengal. And with this bullshit ideology, they never will be able.
