As the years go by and common man gets more educated and AWARE he or she will realize India is the land of HINDUISM where are other religion or sects are welcome as long as they agree to live free UNDER THE HINDUISM umbrella and not attempt to take the umbrella down . If they cannot then they should get out or convert back to Hinduism or to a religion not hostile to Hinduism like Buddhism .
Modi's victory is victory of a personality of integrity, honesty and pro-development CM. Personally I hate saffron politics, but I appreciate Narendra Modi for the development works he has done and he stands for his values. A known devil is reliable than unknown.
Yesterday Karnataka Ex-Deputy CM manhandled another ex-minister publicly and in TV interview he was not ready to accept the incident nor did he apologise. People are looking at politicians who are straightforward, sincere and values their ideologies. Wake up netas atleast stand for your own words.

Well said! The media is too looking for some fig leaf to hide behind their brazen mis-reporting and tampering with exit poll raw data.

these congress guys are psychophants of the pseudo gandhis and they will not accept it because their star campaigners rahul and sonia wherever they have campaigned in gujarat they have lost. How can they blame their leader ,they will find scapegaots in the guise of local leadership though thsy have not given them any chance of campaigning. It is a loss of face for sonia, rahul and digvijay. All other excuses are just a mere rubbish. If they cannot accept thier loss in gujarat let it be so and let these guys and the party lose thier MP's in next general election and still say that they have not lost but the local state units lost. There can never be accoutability for the psedo gandhis as what they want is power through or crook and keep puppets at the helm and run the show from behind. What is happening at the national level today will continue as long as the spineless congress leaders crawl for the pseudo gandhis.
Secularists are finding it very difficult to digest this result, and are trying to tell people how they have ben right, despite their comprehensive defeat. People are even blaming Madamme Sonia's "Maut Ke Saudagar" remark for the defeat, though our friends from Congress would like to tell us that she is an angel and can do no wrong. The fact is, that Modi has won the elections rather than Congress losing it. It is a positive vote for a positive performance. Modi has done what is expected of a State's Chief Minister, and this fact has been acknowledged by Rajiv Gandhi Foundation and RBI. Even if Sonia had not uttered the now famous "Maut Ke Saudagar", her previous two remarks; "Jhoothe" and "Be-iman" would have been enough for the people to realise that they were being taken for a ride. Denying development in Gujarat was a poor strategy. Modi has also remained true to the BJP agenda, and for this, he had to make many enemies. Other BJP Governments in other states and centre have not had the guts to follow party's declared and percieved agenda, at their own peril. Modi has emerged as a person, who does what he says, and says what he does. And what can one say about Rahul Baba! He has to learn some more tricks apart from waving his palm.
Mr Raghavan your article is far better than Ms Sheela's where she just can't stop bemoaning the failure of Congress 'Stars' Sonia and Rahul in delivering the goods.. atlast, someone writes about other aspects of this election without howling about how the 'fascists' have won and the sickularists have lost a battle and what not..

the term fascists and communalists generally used by marxists and pseudo secularists in indian polity is sheer nonsense. These guys can go to any length to appease muslims and they are secular and one who fights terrorists in the state is fascist and communal. These so called intellectuals of the left parties and the psedo secular's of the other parties cannot go on fooling the public with their faalthu mantra of secularism all the time. We need governance . good governance. deliverables and riot free states, we want equality for all and not appeasement of minorities for the sake of vote banks. If they take the rebels from bjp they are touchables and matured but they can be from RSS or VHP or any other communal background. if same people contest from the BJP it becomes communal. These are nothing but shameless creatures who say something and do something else. ALL of them should be taught lesson not at state level but at the nationallevel. The sooner the communists marxists and congress are packed lock stock and barrel the better for the nation.
We comrades are upset because the world has now realized we are the true fascists massacring people in Nandigram. Our masters in China are going to be really upset with us now that we have not managed to get rid of Modi. They may even fire us. Do you Hindutva guys have an opening for bootlickers like us? We can kiss ass really really well. Please let me know.
As a Kutchi person, I like to Congratulate and Thanks to People of Gujarat to choose Modi as CM.
I and my dear fellow Gujju feel the Effort made by Him after a Killer Earthquake. We love u Mr. Modi.
For all Modibasher , eat this%u2026%u2026.
When the killer quake measuring 6.9 on the Richter scale hit Gujarat, it left 15,000 people dead in the state. Kutch's toll was the grimmest at over 10,000. The temblor destroyed 90 per cent of Bhuj, and ruined lives in the towns of Bhachau, Anjar, Gandhidham and Rapar. In all, more than half a million lost their homes and over 150,000 people were injured.
With the region reduced to a concrete rubble, the economy was literally pushed back to the Stone Age.
But six years later, India's second largest district (the largest is Leh) Kutch-one-fourth the size of Gujarat-has reemerged from the ruins to become a major industrial hub. Fuelled by post-quake investment that toted over Rs 28,000 crore at last count, the district's throbbing economy is leading Gujarat's industrial march to a double digit growth.
The investment is already touching Rs 50,000 crore within the year. The leap is huge considering investment pre-quake, since independence, had never crossed Rs 2000 crore

Mr Patriot, Development has happened all over India. But no matter how well off people become they cannot invest personal wealth in bijli, sadak, pani. That's the job of state govt. and if a state govt does it you have to recognize it. Gurgaon is today fastest growing city in India but lot of skyscrapers there have to put standby generator in case of power failure. No matter how much ppl of gurgaon earn they will not create power for city that's the job of state govt.
Contd.... Being a warrior, he will not be able to survive the absence of war, like General George S. Patton. The solution? He should govern Gujarat for another 5 years, and retire gracefully; at least from State level politics.

Dear A Singh, continue to dream...maybe go to some useless director (choose a secular one and there are plenty of them), he will start a movie on this. Modi's credentials will stand by him for life. If you think Advani, Vajpayee and other BJP leaders are going to kick Mr. Modi out, this is a figment of imagination. If you think you can sow this seed so that BJP will split, you can keep dreaming, for that time will never come.Modi has proved to this entire nation that development, security and commitment wins election. He could have also shown tokenism (done by all other parties) by nominating a few muslims to show he was secular. He does not want that image. The national BJP leadership stood by him because they were convinced that Mr. Modi always stood by his ideaology and sense of purpose. Mr. Modi ably assisted by his party cadres swept the election and they will continue to do, till the leadership does not deliver (which I very much doubt will happen). The congress can keep nominating state leaders from delhi (now I think they appoint only English speaking leaders - since Madame Sonia and her progenies don't understand our national language), and keep dreaming (like you) that they will win. First start working for the people, then you can rightfully ask for their votes. That's precisely what Mr. Modi did. Learn and act instead of dreaming....

Hi Iava Make no mistake. I am an ardent fan of Modi. The only problem is, that I have seen enough of this world to know that success and failure do not last for ever. You are encouraged to guess my age. Modi is going to make more enemies as he tries to perform against all odds. And sometime, the collective power of the enemies is going to be more than Modi's lone power. I am with Government, and have seen numeroud cases where a person has been penalised for being more efficient than he was required to be. I know that there is price for being smarter than your peers, and this price has to be paid. In future Modi may lose an election, but it is not going to take away anything from him. He is a champion and remain so. Can anyone question the capability or patriotism of Winston Churchil? Even he lost an election.

It is proples mandate as no politician can take this from us, what we need is development and today every one has to follow this other wise he needs to be seated in oppostion that is all.

Di I have to remind you that Vajpai's one regret was; not being able to remove Modi? That old man could go to any extent to earn a few extra points from Yetchury and company for his OWN secular credentials. Similarly, what can you say about a person for whom, demolition of Babri structure marked the saddest day in his life. He can become secular any day. Vajpais and Advanis are going to find it more and more difficult to digest Modi.
