Rajdeep Sardesai loves all that is anti Hindu, if he is asked to defend the parliament attackers, he will feel it his divine duty. These are all ISI agents in India like Jaychand, in the garb of Media. I am sure he is receiving funds from Mumbai underworld or under some threat to suipport jehaldis and terrorists.

The problem is these people think that if they speak against the majority and takes side of the minority, they will be regarded as humanitarian and hence, in future, win medals and prizes like Raman Magsassay.
Feeling like shaving your head and keeping you tied up in the lampost on the street.
We repeat the line of politicians every time we say Muslims are minority.
Please remember that Muslims are second largest Majority in India. They are far more than Jains, Sikhs, Parsis and even Christians. So any leader calling Muslims are Minority and planning various schemes for them are not supporting either Hindus or Muslims but trying to Garner votes. They would not use same politics for Parsis bcoz their votes can rarely make you win so no apeasement there.
I hope I was able to put my point properly. Any leader speaking in favor of either Hindu or Muslim are trying to take advantage for votes and would rarely work for the state or its citizen. We need leader who is ready to work for its citizen and not a particular caste. Modi is right when he says he will work for development of state and would give a crime free atmosphere. He never said he will do that for Hindus or Muslims. It was for all residents of Gujarat. Lets hope that during this term of Modi we can see a more secular and vibrant Gujarat
I don't think that I've read a more immature bunch of responses to a rather interesting analysis of Modi's election strategy in Gujarat. One cannot help thinking that the Indian reader, especially on the Internet, is an extremely immature individual.

The media showed itself in very poor light in the run-up to Gujarath elections. While every one heard the Godhra and Modi's anti-muslim bias loud and clear, no one, no one, was willing to take a close look at what Modi did or did not accomplish in his previous tenure. While an indirect feedback filtered out, "in spite of the development of Gujarath, there is palapble fear in the minds of people", a hard look at his achievements and failures was never attempted by media. This I hold to be their biggest and unexcusable failure of duty, which they owed to Indian Society. At the end of the day, it is your deeds which speak out loud and clear. We never got a dispassionate look at Modi's Gujarath, was it truly shining, or was the development only a thin veneer hiding lack of development inthe hinterland ?
The media is not being fair to us by wearing yellow tinted glasses and going around saying "Modi has jaundice, Gujarath has jaundice".
Dear Mr.Modi Congratulations for ur recent win. This is the kind of win democracy demands, full majority. People say U hate muslims, but Y ? if it is really true I will not support. Some bad elements r there and I hate them irrespective of any community, but many r there who r really nice .. We want a unified India , muslims in India are first Indian then muslim as I am first Indian then Hindu. They njoy diwali with us and we Njoy eid with them .. no separations , no feelings .. Then Y sud U hate them .. Public complains tht if anybdy with a muslim surname applys for job don't get .. may b thr allegations r not true , may the candidate don't deserve but u sud tell ur officers not to have such kind of description .. U must have learned a lot from the past .. can't U love muslims equally as Hindus , try once .. U will be the most loved man .. understand there problem, and treat in a egalitarian way. Sahooji, understand one thing - in Indian politics, to win elections (as opposed to passing armchair comments), you need votes. And for votes, you need to at least pretend that you hate, or like particular communities. Modi apparently wants to project an anti-Muslim image, just like the Congress consciously wants to project a pro-Muslim image. An image doesn't mean reality. And yes, if being anti-Muslim is 'non-secular', then you can say the same for being 'pro-Muslim' too. In a really secular democracy, religion should not enter the political arena AT ALL. That way the Congress, with its over-the-board minority appeasement is also not secular. That apart, if you want political parties to be 'really secular', then the voters should be secular. Which is not the case here. Will even Sonia Gandhi dare to contest a seat in a Muslim-dominated area like Malappuram in Kerala? She won't. Because if she does, she will lose. Because ultimately the voter in India is NOT 'secular'.

I agree with you. Regardless of what Indian constitution professes, the people of India have religion in their blood and marrow. This artificial separation of religion from our polity in the name of secularism makes hypocrites of all of us. It is time we gave religion its due and used it for nation building, not nation bashing.

Modi always says he is working for 5.5 crore Gujaratis... this includes all... and this is secularism.
His anti-muslim image is portrayed by Congress, media, etc, etc.
Also, he is very tough against terrorism and appeasement. Unfortunately, Muslims are invloved in these 2 things and Modi will not tolerate this, and therefore he is being viewed as anti-muslim..
But, in fact he is helping muslims.
If muslims stay away from terrorism & appeasement, it will only help muslims.
MUSLIMS need to understand this.
MODI is a principle-based person. He will not sacrifice his principles and that is the reason his govt is more & more corruption free also.

If you blame for one Modi for the Gujarat riot, there are hundreds such name who massacred Hindus throughout the centuries.
I never knew that Sheela Bhatt is from Rediff. After reading her views in these pages, I had stopped reading her articles, as, after reading few, I could easily understand her views!! I am little disappointed that she is actually in Rediff's Team. She must learn to honour the dignity of her profesion otherwise she will become as 'useful' as Tehelka.

I am gujarati and i hate her for her mean, selfish agenda...
If the Reservation System is changed from Caste based to Income based criteria, by changing the Constitution of India, Narendra Modi will get 95 % seats for BJP in Gujarat, and BJP will get majority all over India too.
Only why 35 % seats go to other than BJP is due to this Indian system. Sri Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar had planned to implement caste based reservation system only from 1951 to 1960, and only if needed it may be extended for further 10 years. He had not thought to keep it for such 70 or 80 years. Main hurdle to 90 % BJP votes is this system only.
I congratulate Gujraat people. By favouring Modi, Gujrat have a give tight slap on media especialy NDTV. NDTV was hosting , airing shows of self declared socialist, Karat duo (being close relatives of Pranab Roy). Even today afternoon, they were showing comments from Karat. Who is karat? His party has no place in gujrat.He doesn't know how may districts are in gujrat. But the people showed, voting doesn't depends on TV shows, road shows(Rahul Gandhi)

Everybody in India knows that they are opportunist and want power without any responsiblity(UPA). NDTV is just a paid channal of leftist. I don't remember a single day when NDTV hadn't criticize Modi or BJP in past five yrs.
