Modi got that many seats only because of media.Media gave him 24*7 publicity falling for his gimmicks and tricks.Modi is smart enough to cash in media coverage.
Sheela Bhatt always have been a pro-Muslim. She doesn't say so daringly. But her words always reflects her undercurrent sentiment knowingly or unknowingly, not only in this article but in all her articles. She is completely a biased journalist looking over the rediff national affairs. Even after the outcome, though unheartedly, gave some credit to Modis personality, she tried her best to take the views out of direction and tried to push her views on readers mind.Unfortunately, this is not going to help anybody, as people are getting aware of the right things rapidly. I have nothing to do with gujrat election and I am not a gujrati. But the right things are realized by every one in spite of the little extent of biased media. Now india don't need the nonconstructive people to pulls legs of Developing INDIA.If there is corrupt highlight that? why crying for minority-minority? Don't you know Hindus are minorities in this world? Its not the time to quarrel over religion, sects. We need a corruption free country now. We need rapid development. We don't need pseudo-secular government. We don't need biased media. What we need is a corruption free INDIA in every sector. We want to see a developed nation.I don't think Hindus are against Muslims. Every hindu praise Dr. Kalam and his dream country.But sorry we dont need Vatican strategy to allow Quotrochi leave, to appease muslims and other sects just to gain power. Every one now understand what is secular.The word is abused.

Very nicely said. I stand by you. I am outside india currently, but strongly felt that why we can't be better then this western countries. We can and we will. We need a good leader, honest followers and support of people of india. gudluck on way to 2020 vision of Dr.Kalam.

Anti-fascism is not pro-muslim.Modi just made use of minority bashing to cultivate a vote bank in 2002.Now he has taken credit for 50 years of development and hard work of Gujaratis.Don't get fooled by Moditva rhetoric

I think the entire Non-Gujarati Print/Electronic or any other kind of journalism has missed to understand Gujarat. Its People, Mind Set and their contribution in Nation Building. They are thinking that Gujarati people are biased, communal and Hindutvavadi etc. But they must remember that Gujarat has provided with many great businessman (Ambani, Tulsi Tanti and so many others) Politicians like Gandhi and Sardar, Top economic brains on grounds not degree holders and so on. Where ever in the world you go, you'll find Gujarati people well settled their. Modi is representing this kind of peoples thinking. So Please stop blaming Gujarati Society now. The entire script and election campaing of Congress was architectured by Non - gujaratis which is one of the main factor for congress defeat. Anti-Modi ads about Water Conservation work, Jyotigram Yojana, Chek Dam plans has boomranged to congs. Which provocated Gujju people to come out massively against Congress. I have not read about Sheela's earlier articles but if she is the ex-wife of Kanti Bhatt then dont blame her because she was not faithful to a man like him then why we expect much from her.Thanks and be ready for Modis rise in National Politics to bring India as a strong nation in the world.

Rediffmail has proved " ASS " of itself.After writing and publishing so much of anti Modi and anti BJP there sustained malign campaign is bursted in the end which the poll results have proved. Rediffmail which has a vested interest in writing anit Modi is biting dust. Shame on Rediffmail and regarding Sheela Bhatt the lesser said the better. Sheela Bhatt is writing that Modi has faced medias ire. Correctly she has said so as she and Rediffmail has left no stone unturned in spreading malacoius and courupt campaing aginst such a towering leader. Please do not publish misguiding and boast about your ill-informed , biased and inefficient editor i.e. Sheela Bhatt.
All the last 1 month , she wrote anti-modi reports asif she was on a pay roll of congress... and at the very end , she wrote that there seems a MODI UNDERCURRENT...whihc may favour BJP and MODI.
In short, she wrote extensively against Modi and his chances of re-lection and she also wrote ( at the end ) that modi may have an edge as well...
So, in any case, she or rediff can always predict that they were correct...
BUT ...NO.... You are not coreect and what you have done is somthing a failed journalist would do... i.e. DUDH and DAHI ... Dono mein pair rakhna...
Shut your rubbish claims and useless analysis of Gujarat polls since it is beyond ur reach and understanidng.

I agree with u friends. This is not right journalism. Here in same website they didn't do proper job. They wrote so much anti modi and anti gujarat. Now as they have been defy, they have put in favour news.
I suggest, rediff board to assess their editors and policy. If you want postive growth, then taking example of MOdi and Gujarat public, you should do transparent journalism.

Not only rediff, Specially TOI Ahmedabad issue/CNNIBN/ Star news/ NDTV/ All. all print N screen media, They should appolise to 5.5 croe gujarati and to BJP.

Its a disgrace to journalism - the articles written (?) by this woman! Very biased and faking intelligence! A la barkha dutt. The media tried so much to bash rightists and Modi and are still doing so even when the eople have given clear mandate! This woman compares Modi to the corrupt lalu and co. - another ridiculous attempt towards defaming modi.
IMO Modi has followed his line honestly - even when there will be different opinions about the morality issue- but at least he hasn't fooled his supporters and the majority!
I home the BJP follows heir agenda elsewhere to bring equal law and order based on National sentiment and not on religion!
Verdit of People of Gujarat I do not understand why can't we accept it. WHEN CPM wins in West Bengal they say it is verdit of the people and in Gujarat they say it is communal forces. It is actually an INSULT to the PEOPLE OF GUJARAT.
This is a note of caution for BJP as well. Give the nation confidence in all out Development, Security, Equality before law. Promise and implement Common Civil Code for all Indians.
