'Black water'
by purna on Dec 22, 2007 02:57 PM  Permalink

Only 22.8 mm in 24 hours. The clever Bangaloreans must have collected and stored the rainwater withput informing the met dept. Met should organise a raid assisted by rediff to locate water barons and barrels and empty the water on the rain gauges to estimate the correct amount of 'black water'.

by tamilan on Dec 22, 2007 02:25 PM  Permalink

Grave mistake. Eithet it should be 228mm or 22.8 cm. The 22.8 mm is considered as a mild shower.

following this state level enquiry was ordered in met department and it was found gross corruption in the met department. there is a big toilet scam in waiting. all the toilet was rented illegaly. helpless met department people have to piss in the rainfall measuring jars. this came to light when CBI officials accidently noticed Vicky pissing in the jar.

It seems, this is the main reason behind all these High Rain Falls. If I am not wrong, some of the Ponds and Ditches too, are the result of this Toilet Scam. Based on this, today in Zero Hour, Opposition raised this issue in the Parliament. As the Govt in question cudn't give any satisfactory answer, opposition walked out of the house.

He wrote highest rainfall in a single day in 14 years.
Before this, the record was 66 cms in one day.
People here are dense.
