Indian commies are hypocrites and lazy egomaniacs and are dead intellectuals. Even commies like the Chinese or Russians or Cubans do not tolerate any 'gender inequality'. That is all is Taslima's point. People try to divert attention into non-essentials. MF Hussains paintings do not impact the day-to-day life. He can distort Saraswati as he is ignorant about the fact that it is just an objective symbolism of knowledge which is an absolute secular wisdom. His knowledge of painting contradicts it.

Cheap Politics!!
by Tataghata Mukherjee on Dec 22, 2007 09:22 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

We need to look into this issue with a differnt view. Everybody oppositing sending back taslima are right, when you consider Taslima as a representative of womens fighting for equality to all females. Even I rate Females superior far above Men. She is the one who can bear all the pain and suffering to give birth to we mens.

But supporting only her because she voiced against the Islam is very pity. The intention of BJP now asking for citizen ship is not because of her work to liberate females.

If our parties were so interested in supporting femaales, ask them to first practice respecting females from their home. India have enough talented females for whome even 50 percentage reservation in election can be made mandatory. Why our political parties implement that first.

I Doubt The Intention of BJP!!
by Tataghata Mukherjee on Dec 22, 2007 09:19 AM  Permalink

i doubt the intention of BJP by asking for a citizen ship to talseema, purely because she wrote against ISLAM? and purely becasue Indian Muslims did shown their non acceptance to her views?

I NEVER EXPECTED SUCH STATEMENT FROM BJP.
I AM PROUD TO BE A HINDU, BUT AGAINST THOSE WHO ABUSE HINDUISM. But somebody try to break the unity of INDIA, I AM A INDIAN.

i have some respect for BJP's some specific ideologies, but this action really made them stand along with other opportunists like Congress and co..

Taslima to decide about stay in India: WB speaker
by my message on Dec 22, 2007 09:02 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The "Secular" credentials of the Congress and its supporters, mainly the Communists, are totally exposed by the way they have succumbed to the pressure of Muslims.

Wonder where Shri. Javed Akhtar and Smt Shabana Azmi are. They dont seem to be aware of Taslima.

Freedom of Expression!!
by Ismail Sayyed on Dec 22, 2007 08:24 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

So many people are chanting Taslima's name in TV chanels, news papers, web sites, everywhere. We beleive in democracy, we are Indian. But my friends, can someone explain me what do the words 'freedom of expression' means ? Does it mean that I can use abusive words, slangs, lies against anybody whenever I want ? Expressing of opinion and abusing is not the same thing. Would not you mind if someone uses abusive words against your father or mother. If the freedom of expression means, you are not supposed to react, simply keep your mouth shut and digest even if some one is abusing your father or mother or sister or brother or your friend, then I am sorry to say, there is some problem with the word democracy. Muhammad (PBUH) is much more than one's own parents to the Muslims. Why you never try to understand the feeling of Muslims when she abuses Muhammad (PBUH) ? There are millions of writers in Bengal, why none of those are having such kind of problem as she is having ?

Do you have the same views on M F Hussain? How many Muslims condemned M F Hussain for this vulger depiction of the Hindu gods? The shoe is not on the other foot and it pains you people!!!!!!

The Super Scularists of this country aka Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi do not have any comments on Taslima. May be they are busy fighting Hindus!!!

Organized religion is organized madness. Every developed country in the world is secular. Salman Rushdie need not comment about Jews because they follow the same secular laws and value system as everybody else. Even in India the Govt of India has the same secular laws and value system for all religions except Islam as they do not accept Uniform Civil Code and cause trouble. Hence, RSS is a necessary evil. All the other religion have reformed and have adopted the same value and legal system by discarding outdated and distorted laws and adopting enlightened humanistic laws and values. Modern Indian Hindus do not care about caste, dowry or horoscopes. All are secular, have moved on, and are interested in enlightened self-interest and secular values. Discussing about religion is waste of time. Do something for skills, research, mind, sports, gender equality and join the world by adopting global best human values.
