there are various reasons 1.according to research a human being has two st of tooth ,one is flat(present in goat cows) which are suited for eating grass,vegetables etc and other is sharp(present in tiger,hyena,cats lion)which are suited for eating meat.since both the types are present in human being the nature(god) wants a humans to have both 2.just imagine how many sheeps are slaughtered in india every day suppose the govt of india bans the slaughtering then where will the govt accomodate these animals which increase rapidly,can anyone answer
When India attained freedom, the father of out nation, including others decided on the behalf of all of us and futute generations that India will remain as a multi religious country.
Once this decidion is taken and when we select a democratic system where govt is elected, you have no choise but to abide by the original decision ie be multi religious
Now since many religion has diff way of outlooks and diff levels of agression, such is system will not remain as it is, instead the agressive ones will have increasigly larger say in the affairs of the country.
It is unfair to call Muslims hyprocrites ot traitors, they have never changed their stance in the 50 years we got after freedom. They always preferred their religious feelings over individualists relationsships in a multi cultural society.
Ther could have been a problem about our great leaders could think through the future, May be many of their assumptions were too simplistic.
Now there is no point in cribbing, it is slow and steady process, we have no choise but to accept the increasing presence of over religious actvism in india.
Space for free thinking and for critical expressions are going to shrink.

Every one has the right to express their views and that is what Taslima Nasreen has done. if you like it accept it or ignore it.She being a Muslim woman she will only know what she under went & what other women of the same community undergo, but are suppressed and cannot express. so i feel Taslima Nasreen is right.
