Tamils would have sympathy had not tamil protectors started fighting for supramacy amongst themselves Remember their was TELO LTTE,PLOTE, EPRLF,Who is to lead became an issue.LTTE ruthlessly eliminated all other groups.Ordinary tamils were caught in this vortx and became unheard Moderates were not wanted LTTE larger than life image.India under Indira Gandhi with her advisor Late G Parthasarathy tried to bring all under one umbrella but failed That is why real issue has gone into background and issue became LTTE vs INDIA,SLvs INDIAvs LTTE Rajivs killing complicated the issue further Now nobody wants to interfere Chinese and Pakistan are taking advantage with help of JVP India is loosing ground very badly

Self-respect for the Srilankan Tamil.. yes, but not through LTTE. LTTE is in the process of destroying the Tamil's cause with its ruthless,reckless attitude. India will never allow Eelam in its backyard.RAW takes care of that. Why? That will destabilise TN.
Dravidian parties are anyway no longer mentioning Eelam in their manifestos,as the grass roots support for LTTE is no longer there with the average Tamil in TN.

Friend, ENGLISH is sufficient for WHOLE WORLD. LEt us learn MOTHER TONGUE and ENGLISH well and LEARN TO RESPECT EACH OTHER. when i come to UP,BIHAR I'll learn HINDI. when you come to TN learn TAMIL. This will lead to greater bond between us. Kindly think. Have you counted how many ARABIC,PERSIAN words are making way into HINDI thru BOLLYWOOD movies?. First try to STOP that else you will become cultural slaves of ARABIA and IRAN!!!.

While I do not agree with all your arguments, I support India's help for the LTTE for equal rights.
The oppressor calls it terrorism. The oppressed call it revolution.
During America's independence from the British, British called it terrorism, the Americans called it revolution. Same argument goes for India's independence.
Its just different frames of mind.
Technically, Prabhakaran should get punishment as per law because he got India's PM killed. I agree.
But the reason why India should help the Tamilians for preserving their equal rights (they dont get good jobs, dont get good education, they are discriminated in all fronts) stands. The same logic was applied in the liberation of Bangladesh. Think about it.

No justification in world can be given to kill the leader and former PM of india. It is a direct attack on india and indians. There were hundreds of indian soldiers (IPKF) killed by LTTE. These soldiers were pride of india and they need to be respected by punishing LTTE and prabhakaran.

In what court are you going to try Rajiv ,his advisors for the atrocities commited by indian army in EELAM? You talk to anyone from JAFFNA they will tell stories. Rajiv took this issue to HIDE his BOFORS failure. Rajiv's advisors said Indian army will FINISH LTTE in 2 days!!!! It took more than 3 years,2000crores and poor 2000 soldiers! ALL for ARRONAGNCE of an IMMATURE politician. Have you read Major. HARKIRAT SINGHs book? or any other Majors book who were in IPKF?
