I am from UP & have been following the developments in the state for ovious reasons, its my birthplace.
From what I understand, ISI has identified UP as the next target to nurture their divide-india dream & the porus indo-nepal border provides them with much needed ease of movement.
Most importantly, an eastern UP based Mafia-turn-politico has been in serious trouble with Mayawati in power & has been on the run eer since she came back in power & directed police against him. I believe that he has commercial contacts with Pak based anti-india groups dominated by a few ex-indians, now Pakis who strongly back Let & Jaish financially & use them to create unrest in India at their will.
Mobilising these contacts could result in Fidayeens being set-up for Mayawati who is a hard taskmaster & absolutely lovable administrator inspite of her oppurtunistic politics.
Are you serious? Seems like to they are using the Fidayeen to garner publicity for Maya, a.k.a Modi style (like how Modi did when Guj Police killed Sohrabuddin & his wife Kausar calling them Fidayeen targetting CM Modi).

It is very much possible. Remember that Mayavati has tightened the legal noose and thus made it very difficult for these outfits who has previously had a free run and probably tactical patronage of Mulla Mulayam(famous statement about Simi from ex defense minister!!) Not saying Mayawati is saint but definitely trouble for UP criminals.

As far as my knowledge goes, she is not a Hindu, but a Buddhist and does not believe in Hindu Caste system. But of course she in an Indian.

I think CM is not PM.........and thats why Advani has be named as the PM candidate for 2009 elections, so if he survives till such time and provided BJP comes to power in 2009 , Modi has to wait till 2014.....i thinks its a long wait for him . he he he he
