I asked some readers to mention some authentic books about HINDUKUSH history so that I can either verify or dispute their claims of genocide in Hindukush by the muslim invaders. I see that reply to my inquiry has been listed as abusive writing. Why? What is the motive behind hiding real true story of HIndukush history. I believe that those replies should be allowed to get on line for freedom of info for all. question I have for REDIFF and others is was there a holocaust or genocide of hindus in hindukush or is is a fairy tale? Question is open and any body can answer.
Now even Judges are being made to fight one another. Forget any opposition to Judicial Activism. Our judiciary is our last bastion and the only effective institution left before the curtain comes down over India as a free country. Mr Lalit Koul, one of your own clansmen named J.L. Nehru (who was also a Kaul)had shafted you Kashmiri Pundits from the very begining in order to favour Sheikh Abdullah and his relatives to suck Kashmir and Kashmiris dry from every resource. Even today his debauched son can be seen entering Delhi's Five star hotels at night with young girls fit enough to be his granddaughters for a night of debauchery. Just file a PIL in order to get your stuff from the Govt.as the RTI Act 2005 is a toothless entity. Don't waste your time with those guys sitting in the JNU campus. They have been handpicked for the very purpose of helping the Govt. wriggle out of any sticky situation that may arise from any request for information made by any Indian citizen that includes lies and coverups as well. Just go for that Public Interest Litigation implicating the RTI Act guys for filibustering if not deliberately lying. Just do it NOW.
I have always wondered about this term "Kashmiri Pandits". Why do we never hear any terms like kashmiri yadav? Kashmiri Luhar? Kashmiri Chamar? Kashmiri Sunar? Kashmiri Tribal? Or Kashmiri BC or Kashmiri Scheduled Caste? Were all Kashmiri Hindu's only Pandits? If yes, Why? If no, what happened to the others? SOMEONE ON REDIFF, PLEASE CLARIFY!!!!!!!

Manjula, The reason you never hear about any other castes in Kashmir except the Pandit (Brahmin) caste lies in history. In the 13th century due to continued Islamic onslaught and torture of the Muslim rulers of Kashmir, most of the other caste people were forcibly converted from Hinduism to Islam including many Pandits also. Only those who resisted the pressure till the limit (mostly Pandits) remained Hindu.
I read a column in REDIFF, I think it was 2004 or 2005 that mentioned that muslims of Kashmir and ISI agents started trouble with three slogans. 1. If you want to say in Kashmir you have to say Allaho Akabar, 2. Kashmir is integral part of the Pakistan, and 3. Muslims should get hindu women without their man. This was in REDIFF and I hope my message will not be removed as abusibe because I am reapeating what your columnist wrote in 2004 or 2005. So conditions are set. Unless Kashmiri Pandits agree to all these conditions there will not be any peace or justice. Lalit Koul is not likley to get any justice until situation changes and KashmiriPandits change power situation. I hope this message will not be removed from the boardxc. Happy New year to all of you.

The Indian state (read a nationalist Indian Government and not the backboneless Congress) has the power to convert all the above 3 slogans to suit Indian interests as below : 1. If you want to stay in Kashmir, you have to say only Har Har Mahadev or Wahe Guru. 2. Kashmir (including PoK) is an integral part of India and we should forcibly take the land under PoK and merge it with India. 3. Hindus should convert all the existing Muslims (whose forefathers were Hindus a few centuries back) back to Hinduism and ban all Islamic outfits and organizations in Kashmir

What is best and authentic book on Hindukush story. Please do not mention any books by Romila Thapar - A muslim lover and hindu hater
Thats what it means to be a hindu in India. No one will stand up for you or your rights. Youre a commudity with no value un like the minorities. You will continue to be butched and used and every time someone stands up to ask for equality will be called communal and shut down. The media is run by a few political parties both from within and out side India and their strangle hold is so strong that you have no choise but to die suffacating.
Mr. Kaoul has touched on a wider issue. Whether Kashmir Hindus, or a Hindu minority anywhere, in Bangladesh or Malaysia, the govt. of India and the English medium press in India, will do very little to provide even the basic facts, let alone moral support to Hindu victims. "Political correctness" and "vote bank politics" are both very deeply entrenched in India. I read Western newspapers regularly. They deal more candidly, analyse more honestly, compared with the Indian press, the actions of muslim extremists in their countries, such as this Bitta Karate chap India is burdened with. Indian politicians and the press think that secularism applies solely to Hindus in all respects and in all circumstances. Notice how quiet Indian politicians are w.r.t. other communities. This issue is now understood by all sections of Indian society as well as Western experts on India. India's politicians can prevent Gujarat/ Maharashtra/Bhiwandi/Meerut type of backlash by being more honest in dealing with facts. An attitude of "this community can do no wrong but the other can do nothing right" will result in a series of civil rest in India. Pity. It is also a shame that it took a Frenchman, Francois Gautier, to let the facts be known about the murders and threats Kashmiri Pandits were subject to. It was the same French scholar who publicised Moghul era documents showing how many Hindu temples were destroyed by Aurangzeb. Where are all the Indian historians? Most are under the influence of Polit

These two issues are like chalk and cheese. Two wrongs do not make a right. Just because the killers of Kashmiri pundits got away does not mean that the killer of a chinkara gazelle should get away too. It is such ridiculous logic that is causing untold misery to the wild animals of this overpopulated (with humans) country.
