In the sunday edition of times in karnataka there was a column where it stated modi is friendless in old media but enjoy aggressive support from bloggers and netizens. Let them open the old media to people and we will show how friendless modi is. They always project one sided pricture, a picture that suits them and their financiers and try to convince the nation that it is the truth [I am not just talking about times here but the entire anti-hindu media]. Modi enjoy supports from netizens because here we have the freedom and opportunity to express our views. Let them open the old media, we will come there too.
BTW, I can never forgive BJP for one thing. Although its been so long, there have never started a media channel of their own. They know the importance of media, yet have never taken the steps to rectify their mistake. They are always on a backfoot while dealing with media. It is a pity to see them being called con masters, mass murderers and other names and yet not do anything. At least now I hope it wakes up and starts its own media channel - print, online and TV to counter the anti-hindu media.

You have hit the nail on the head, Gautam. BJP is the only political party that does not have channel of its own. They have to start one before it is too late.

well said.but the media also now slowly learning their mistake.yeasterday's discussion on delhi riots show that it is the congress which indulges in mass murders
So there he is, at last, as the chosen one. The long distance yatri of Indian politics has taken a pause. He is not panting. He is smiling in gratitude. He knows that he has a long way to go, and at 80, even by the leadership standards of the East where biological antiquity is a mark of wisdom, he is not that young and has a long way to go.
Lal Krishna Advani's anointment as BJP's prime ministerial candidate in E-2009 is steeped in poignancy. Advani has formally stepped out of the overwhelming shadow of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the highest guru of the Indian Right.
Oh, how long he, the original charioteer of Hindutva, and the warrior who had brought the aggrieved gods of the Hindu to the drawing rooms of India, languished as Number Two as Vajpayee colonized the heart and history of the nation without trying so hard.
The distance between destiny and destination made Advani's journey all the more arduous--and almost tragic. Then, out of sheer desperation, he changed course--no, crossed the border--and found himself at the mausoleum of the founder of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. His disastrous rendezvous with the "secular" Jinnah was originally planned as a transformative moment. Advani didn't become Vajpayee in Karachi. He didn't get de-demonized as he hoped.
Advani ceased to be Advani. All that the desperate Hindu nationalist wanted was an argument history; he could have chosen a better destination. The makeover bid failed, but Advani continued to walk--he continued to w

these people who were barking a lot before the election have no faith on Mr. Modi. Definitely he is going to win....with out a trace of doubt...

MODI has the fate similar to Kalayan Singh of UP- an AYODHAYA HERO- in BJP.

he continued to walk as Rajnath Singh remained stagnant and as Vajpayee retreated into mythology.
Now that the question--who after V?--has been answered, the House of Saffron should ideally feel fit for the next big fight. But the timing of the anointment has provoked even the Prime Minister, who happens to be the newest "politician" in the block. Why now, on the eve of the Gujarat verdict? Has Advani been frightened by Hurricane Modi? Will Modi, the rock star of Hindutva, make Advani, a fading fighter, redundant? Does Candidate Advani mean insecure Advani?
Well, I want to be positive here. An oversized Modi doesn't have to mean an abridged Advani. Even in a post-Vajpayee era, the BJP can have twin towers. Together, Advani and Modi form the brain and brio of the Indian Right. They are the wisdom and velocity of BJP tomorrow. Let it be the Modvani phase of Hindutva, robust and wise, energetic and experienced, modernizing and mobilizing.

I dont think Modi has the stature of ABV or even LKA. There is a theory that though Modi won Guj due to Godhra but BJP lost India due to it !! I do not think Modi can replace ABV to be the second twin tower !!

arre pasupatibhai.how old is manmohan singh.he does not even win local elections.if the party decides on him why dont you wait for his performance.are sachin and ganguly not performing?
i've observed a few things. Let me enumerate them. 1. the entire media is pro congress, either b'coz of fear or favor. 2. hindus, by way of bjp bashing by this very media are being berated. 3. there're a lot of muslims using hindu aliases, who have joined rediff's discussion board. 4. most of the contributors to this discussion board are young males (18-25), having no family responsibilities, an acces to internet ano no knowledge of the present. 5. most ones are fed with ideas by ToI, the week, cnn ibn, star news, aaj tak etc., perhaps MBA students.

Mr. Nikhl, You are just one anopther soul who has such a baised view. I also have one observation to make, just because the media is publishing stories on BJP, doesn't mean it is biased or in your own language pro-congress. Go and surf the net and you will find huge amount of stories criticizing the the government policy.
Finally of all your worthless points I would pick up your last point. Why have you singled out MBA students? I didn't know that MBA students in India are pro-congress. Please put in some though before you comment.

Hey Prakash,
I think you have never travelled to Gujarat. You should know when you speak these words. Modi is the most popular leader in the country. Gujarat is the most prosporus state in thje country.I think you only want to see the country by the whitewash what Congress is throwing on public.
