Take a Stand
by prashant nair on Dec 18, 2007 12:47 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

When will india as a country take a stand on anything, we aint no bloody switzerland to stay neutral, they are tamilians originating from our land why dont we instead stand up for their rights and use our fists if needed to support their cause, just try to appease everyone all we need to do is put some serious diplomatic pressure on sri lanka, all we do is take in more and more refugees instead of solving their problems when will our govts realise we are already a superpower in south asia and do the needful here, malaysia, bangladesh etc

What? So people whose origins are on our land go and create trouble in other countries so we go out and start bullying the countries as we are regional superpower? Our stand is very clear on this matter, we will not override sovereignity of any country or their decisions. For a change, why don't you ask these India deserters not to give our country a bad name when on foreign soil?

Please excuse me, they are not Indian deserters.. these Tamils have been living in Sri Lanka for more than a 1000 years. So no question of they giving us a bad name.

If you can empathize with their struggle, do so.. else be ready to take more and more refugees, which you obviously can't.

LTTE is seeking to restore the Jaffna Kingdom which was a Tamil Kingdom .. They are not seeking to over-ride soverignity of any other Country.

From the Sangam Era, Tamil Kings have ruled over and had based in Sri Lanka. THe Land they are seeking belongs to SL Tamils only.

what on earth for??

Why the hell does the centre have to sweat about the LTTE? To my knowledge the LTTE is not half as dangerous as so many of those Islamis terrotist groups...the Centre should be worrying itself about mujahideen operating in India rather than the LTTE, which is a comparatively minor threat...who was responsible for the blasts in Mumbai, Varanasi, Hyderabad etc..? Not the LTTE, to my knowledge....

Better strategy would be to ask LTTE to help us tackle the issue in Malaysia by helping their own brothers. Karunanidhi should take the lead for this.

nothing can be done
by pecosta on Dec 18, 2007 12:15 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Nothing can be done with people(LTTE) who r ready to die , what we can do is to defend ourself n not to poke our nose and get it bloodied as we did in 1987(IPKF).War in srilanka is not winnable by either sides though some tactical gains may be there to ther conflicting parties but there is no permanant victory.
