by RANJIT PANDEY on Dec 17, 2007 10:14 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Congress Party will have to learb to be very soon a regional party at the best. It has no leader of any credibility either in the centre nor in the states

Every part of India. During re-election for S. Gandhi from Amethi. Many illiterate voters wanted to know the welfare of Mohan (Mahatma) Gandi. Some one from congress said that he is away to Simla as Amethi is too hot for him to come.
One can imagine that what kind of voters we have in INDIA. Hence, people from Italy which itself is very backward in comparison to other European countires will definitely get encouraged to stay in India as they have nothing to loose that too free of cost due to tax payers money

Principal Modi
by Visitor on Dec 17, 2007 10:13 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I agree Modi might be in for a win, but that is no reason to gloat. It is a sad reflection on the electorate. Similar to the fact that Laloo too was given 15 years to rule Bihar.

Citing development as a shield for deliberately allowing your own people to be killed....is like loving the principal of a school whose trsults in the board exams are very good. And ignoring the fact that girls get molested in that school by him. Because the results are good !!

Mr Visitor...thats the most pathetic eg u gave...first of all there is no comparison bet lalu n modi...ok...

Gujarat apart from being the most developed state is the safest as well...mind you...criminals are gonna get killed and there is no human rights for them here which explains why the crime rate is so low...

Give these guys a free hand and then see wat happens...!!

Ppl of Gujarat are not idiots...they know whom to vote for and why...!!!

We dont wanna end up like U.P and Bihar where Muslims dominate and bully other religions...Go and see whats happening in Kashmir...give these muslims freedom and see wat they do to u...!!!

Aditya, the measure of a civil society is that criminals too get the due process of law...because one has faith in law & not individual judgements...or else Taliban would be the most just people in the world if speed of justice is all that matters.

I have not called Gujarati's ( or Biharis for that matter) fools. Just that this is how electorate behaves collectively sometimes in a democracy. And I accept it. But then this is a flaw that has to be accepted.

Abu Salem is NOT contesting( There are no elections in UP right now)...Afzal has mercy petition pending which takes time to dispose off as a normal procedure. ( Rajiv Gandhi's killers have not been hanged yet as a mercy petition is pending)........So dont be so alarmist or agitated. George Bush could have personally come to Iraq to execute Saddam the next day he was captured. But he was allowed a 2 yr trial. Thats a measure of civil society. We too must not lapse into dark ages to satisfy our medieval instincts.

Ajay, this is not an election platform where rhetoric is passed off as fact. If you want your comment to be given a thought....it should carry the intelligence to provoke a thought !!

Mr visitor
till date no one knows what exactly happened in gujarat in 2002 there are many reports but one should understand that many ppl died be it muslim or hindu but modi ruled even after that why it was not repeated first of all one shold understand what happened was more a reaction and not action well if that the scale you use to guage some person then not a single political party has rite to rule india just think in bhiar cows eat food worth 900 crores in UP bahubalis rule in chatisgadh and andhra naxalites rule in tamlnadu every ruling cm puts other behind bar for corruption. just use your brain they have nothing against modi except 2002 riots just think riots have happened in india even before 2002 why only blame modi ??????????????????? how can u forget 1984 ??????????????
and if your memopry is short just remember nandigram

Mehul,

There is a difference between 2002 & any other riots that India has ever witnessed.
The complicity of the govt.!! 1984 was bad & yes some congressmen were involved but the govt. of the day was not. RG was on the streets of Delhi to control the riots. Tytler, Bhagat etc have been sen to political oblivion. Nobody within or outside the party treats them as heroes.

But Guj is different...As ABV himself said..Raja cannot let go of the Rajdharma. Thats the prime reason why it is seen as a blot on independent India ( As hon ABV himself pointed out)
