Modi and the Ramanujam Test.
by Sat Sharma on Dec 18, 2007 01:22 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The author, Srinivasa Raghavan does not know what he wants to say. His write-up invites more questions rather than the answer to his beoved topic. In a secular country why the oldest political party which (mis)ruled this country for 60 years or so out of the 68 years after independence delving into communal politics. They can lodge a coalition with Muslim League (which caused the partition of the country on the basis of two-nation theory) in Kerala????

why should discussing Hindutva be any different from discussing ideas where people can have opinions? from the olden days, there are very religious people, and less religious people. As far as i know, there is only one religion on earth that doesnot allow anyone to be less religious. You know which is that. You dont want to be like that do you?

But since i cant do that(as you can see, i dont have Nukes), will it be right to show my anger on a few people living in this country because they belong to the same religion? will that be right?

I have not read such an excellent article in years. Also, Mr. Srinivasa-Raghavan, did you know that the history of the whole Babri Masjid hatred goes back to 1860. It seems, Hindus and Muslims were worshipping together till then, when the British put a barricade for the Hindus and asked them NOT to worship beyond that point..

Not really. I'll tell you some statistics. India has 32 % muslim population - that is 32 crores of them. Now you can imagine what would happen if as you say, all of them are bad people. There are bad guys among them but hardly a few thousands among the entire 32 crores in India. they're the ones who do explosions and stuff.
Now is it justifiable to kill the entire 32 crores of them for just these thousands? I doubt very much.
And this is not just an issue with India, but one that now concerns the entire globe. these guys are the majority on earth. their population aamounting to 1/3rd of the entire population. However, aa few thousands - mebbe a few lakhs of them are nasty. Now unless we go back to the old ethnic clensing ways, our only choise as a civilized society is keep trying and pick the bad guys and not everyone who could be innocent.

I heard its 30 % . maybe you're right about the figure there. And Pashupati before you start naming everyone as "Mulla" with that fowl language thats on display here, I'm very much a Hindu-Christian (Hindu Mom, Christian Dad) if you can define that.

Thats exactly what i'm saying. 30% innocent hindus,a nd many innocent muslims were killed. However, show me ONE, just ONE bad guy who got killed. They all went underground. At the end, why did so many people have to die??

It is 32 crores doing the math that 30 % of our population are them and we're a 105 crore populous country.
Forget Ayodhya. All i'm saying is that you need to kill the dangerous guys with weapons and who have links with the desert countries and who place the explosives rather than kill every single person living in some poor slum simply because he/she is a muslim.
Comon, what happened post Godra was just that. The real bad guys all went underground. the guys with explosives and stuff happily left the state. The average poor man trying to make his living in some slum got killed.
Thats not Bravery! thats taking the easy way out. .
