Because he is a communist. After BJP's victory they will blame as usual state machinery, media, people of Gujarat, Hindu organisations etc.

Why Mohammad Shafi Mansuri will vote for Modi?
by VB on Dec 15, 2007 01:57 PM  Permalink

Modi will WIn not only bcos of Hindu Votes, but even Muslims in Gujrat support him... They are better off under his Rule than Communal Congress
The Congress hasn't done anything good for Muslims in Gujarat & no where in India & neither going to do anything for us...
Also Congress has no development issues for Gujarat... What they are banking is on Sorabdin issue

Bidwai is an idiot
by s m on Dec 15, 2007 01:49 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Bidwai has cleverly mentioned only survey result. But there are 3 more surveys conducted at the end of 1st phase. The results are,

NDTV: Cong - 43, BJP - 40
Sahara Samay: Cong - 33, BJP - 47
Sandesh: Cong - 33, BJP - 46
ZEE NEWS: Cong - 30, BJP - 54

Except one prediction (where the BJP is marginally behind Cong), it is far ahead of Cong in remaining predictions. Bidwai has cleverly (or stupidly) not mentioned the remaining predictions.

and brahmins will vote for hindus unity under modi who never talk of caste and never adopt
castist cheap politics of congress.

Truth about Modi...
by Ashok Abraham on Dec 15, 2007 09:23 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Here is an article in today's NDTV.Com about Modi's roots (I think NDTV is deemed by many "Intellectuals" as a "Secular" media)...read on to find how a local Congressman and another Muslim (who know Modi from childhood) speak the truth and support Modi.

Friday, December 14, 2007 (Vadnagar)
Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi was born in the ancient temple town of Vadnagar in North Gujarat. He did his schooling there before leaving the town in 1967.

Rasikbhai Dave is a Congressman and a close friend of the Modi family. He remembers Modi as a child serving tea at this small restaurant near the Vadnagar railway station owned by Modi's father.

But mention the politics of hate that a grown up Modi is alleged to have practiced and Dave gets upset.

''As Chief Minister he would have initiated the Godhra riots? We are not ready to accept it at all, because right from his childhood he has been in a Muslim atmosphere. So he will never get an anti-Muslim mindset in his life,'' said Rasikbhai Dave, political activist.

In the same neighbourhood, Modis owned two more houses, a neighbourhood right adjacent to a Muslim dominated locality.

Jasud Pathan, one of Modi's closest classmates, blames the media for demonizing his friend and insists Modi is not arrogant or a fundamentalist.

''I have only one request for Narendra Modi, to bring Muslims forward, he must concentrate on their education and give them employment,'' said Jasud Pathan, Modi's childhood friend.
