In 1977, when the country voted out the Congress, the mood was even a donkey was matter than Indira Gandhi. In 1980, the mood was that a donkey was better than the Janata Party. So there was a landslide in both cases. To answer your query, even a donkey is better than Modi.
How much I know of Gujurat? Enough.Visit Gujurat often enough.

talking about 1977, and I have to agree Donkey was better than Janata Party and especially way better than Charan Singh. But one has to know that Janata Party was combination of Jan Sangh , Indian National Congress (Organization) and Bharatiya Lok Dal (which was fusion of seven parties opposed to the autocratic rule of Indira Gandhi, and made up of Swatantra Party, Utkal Congress, Bharatiya Kranti Dal, and the Socialist Party )
And yes don't forget Indira loyalist, Jagjivan Ram deserted her and formed the Congress for Democracy, joining the Janata alliance.
Point I'm trying to make is without any public agenda or strong leadership nothing can be done, especially in politics. It was all about defeating Indir then and it is all about defeating Modi now.

Gujurat contributes of course but there are many states that have comparative GDPs. If Gujurat accounts for more 30% of Indian GDP then you are right. But 5%??? That's making a mountain of a molehill
Going by his principles, discipline, character and patriotism, it appears that modi is a reincarnation of Swami Vivekananda. The most recent example of Infiltration of Sonias chamcha in to judiciary was the case of Sanjay Dutt.
Please recall the sequence events. A day after the conviction of Sanjay by special TADA Court, his MP Sister Priya met Sonia in Delhi. The court administration took about two months time to hand over the copy of the verdict to Sanjay-helping him stay out as long as possible. Case went to SC, Bail order was given. Surprisingly bail order reached him with in a day!! After his release Sanjay met Sonia on 11th December on a thanks giving mission. You can expect a lot of judicial "activism" in favour of Congress/ Sonia in coming days.

you are not very smart. go to gujarat and see for yourself how well lawful the state is from east to west north to south. gujarat has the lowest crime in the country, that's no lawless place, dear. congress has little chance; it wants to turn gujarat into a mafia state, telling the people they should have a right to steal electricity - and sonia knows what else more. if you are acongressi, it may not be too late if you are a hindu.
If Modi is unable to win atleast 100 seats he has lost this election. After all the super hype and self glorification he should be getting 150 seats and Congress should be wiped out. Inspite of this you will see that Modi will be humbled and may be lucky to get a bare majority. In this case he should resign and accept deafeat.

Media likes to demonize Modi most. Indian media praise Musharraf often but demonize Modi always. Modi never succumbed to media, he communicated with Gujaratis and nullified the media.
