Rate this city ... Advantage : 1. Main IT Center. Gives jobs to lots of people. 2. Property rate is High. Only Politician and the builder gets advantage. 3. Good Climate to stay. But now a days its going worst. Disadvantage : 1. Highly pollutade city. Still Administrative didnt implement CNG where Delhi is thinking Banning Diesel Car. 2. Very bad Infrastructure. Road/Lights are pathetic. 3. Crazy Cab Driver. Nor Company/Traffic police handle them strictly. 4. Too much of Corruption. May be crossed the Bihar. 5. No Good Air Port. 45 KM away IP. Will Takes 3 hrs to reach 6. Corrupt Politician. 7. If you are with IT Tag every one try to Chit you. 8. No Traffice sense of People. A software eng to a Cab driver, almost every one drive crazyly. 9. Most of the Building is violated, Still govt is thinking for Regulation. While most of the Other City already had. 10. Everything is too Costly here.
Now Can we say that Bangalore is Still Best or Just a Good enough. Don't Be emotional think logically. I am also in Bangalore from Past 12 yrs, and I have seen Good/Bad of bangalore.

Most of these point to accumulation of settlers in the ciy while city is not ready for such amounts of settlers in few years. Cultural shift is another reason - may people from different parts of the country choose this place as they found it better. So obviously blore is better in south. But the cultural shift affected people to be more commercial and the local leaders-goons colluded to make the hay while sun shines. There is a huge demand to supply gap but the funds and political will is lacking to fill this.

I think if the Govt would have taken a dicission then things could have better by this time. 1. The roads in RammurthyNagar, Kagadasspura, Kr Puram and many more place are Worst. Though this places have High Density people. And I think the tax amount collected from this people are quite lump-sum. See the Inside road in Koramangala, how bad it is. 2. Streat-light in White Field/Ring Road. Do u think Govt does not have money to that. 3. Traffic Control. You can see every day how incapable the Police are. Many more you can list it down.
And Giving Vote ... Boycot the Vote until unless they repair your area's road, provide Street light and water. Can you do this. This is the right time to get it done dude... You may not Believe, In WestBengal people do/get thing like this(Just for Ex, no comment on this). Why cant we in Bangalore. Hope to have a better Bangalore...
The Corporation Officials are trying to pass on the blame to the Cntractor. But, these officials should be prosecuted for Murder, as it was their responsibility to supervise and ensure proper construction. One can guess that they have been continouesly bribed by the contractor. Does the Govt have the guts to proceed against the Officials of the Corpn.

This official Build asset from the money that Given by the Contractor. You can't blame 100% to the Contrac. Both of them are equally responsible. Have you seen the Bangalore Road, with 2 weeks a road gets same old stage after putting tar. Cos they dont use quality materail. And gave bribe to Official for passing the records. Corruption is on high !!! Find the way to stop, else we will loose more life.
Corporation will not take the blame citing procedures and with no goverment at present there will be no action from the authorities. They will also complain about short of funds. There must be a huge rental income from this city and arent they getting enough taxes from this rental income. If the house/flat owners do not show the rental income or show a much reduced figure, then less or no tax. Then less tax collection for the corporation. Less inspections. More corruption. Then accidents !
How can Corporation wash their hands by blaming it on contractor. Contractor is a mere executor, corporation is the authority to plan, supervise, ensure quality etc... after all it is corporations project.
When did the inspector last visit the building, how come the contractor rented out the apartments without corporations notice. What legal procedures were initiated against the 'illegal' let out by contractor.
Isnt the truth glaringly visible? This is how bureaucrats behave under govts led by politicians like Gowda. Karnataka I think is missing a visionary leadership like that of S.M. Krishna
Its unfortunate that a n accident likw this has happened. stop blaming the city and dont bring any unwanted religious comment. the accident is because of greedy contractor, irresponsible corporation and above all the idiotic people themselves. my sympathies are with those who lost their lives or injured - Mukhya
People who are talking about Religion and terrorism as a remark to such a sensitive and a serious issue which has happened in a city which is being show cased by our country to be a high tech city of India, are a shame to their name, their country and to whosover they represents!! Such sick minds are the main cause of our country being what it is today. Instead of analysing a problem objectively they immediately tend to link it to some politicians and then a group/cult and then to religion...Such people truly speaking have no religion nor ethics and are not bothered about their nation. They are so vulnerable that they would get brain-washed by any uneducated politician. This is the reason the Indian politicians are able to rule over the masses and get elected without actually doing anyhting constructive. Actually I cannot blame these people ..... Its the lack of proper education and upbringing in our society which knows to only respect the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, math and for most the need of a qualification is to just earn money, without knowing what they would do with that money....This is the greatest tragedy of our nation.
It was just a few days back when Bengalurus were celebrating the 3rd highest number of millionaires in the country. But little do they know that they have invested in a city that can do little about its stability. Its government is unstable, roads are unstable, electricity is unstable, traffic is unstable, stray dog menace (remember 3 kids were killed by stray dogs a few months back), and now 3rd time a building has collapsed. On the whole Bangalore is also unstable, thats why they have changed its name to Bengaluru, but the biggest town of India still remains Unstable.

I see tell me one city that has world class infrastructure and world class living in India, Mumbai and Kolkata are full of slums, Chennai has not water, Hyedarabad is full of muslim terrorists, Delhi the blueline capital and (R)ape capital, considering all that Bangalore is still the best

When Bangalore is unstable, other cities of India do not need to be World class to attract attention. All they need is to be Stable, starting from the Government till the infrastructure. And why do you alsways think of the extremes? I think Bangalore needs to be stable first than to think of world class infrastructures.

since for so many years only Bangalore offered high-paying jobs, all intelligent people had to come to Bangalore to advance in their careers and obviously this put tremendous strain on the infrastructure. For this Cental government has to be blamed, since they have not advertised other cities properly. Only now have we seen other cities also being aggressive in promoting their cities.

there has to be a point of reference for infrastructure what is it ? other cities for India or other cities of world. Political stability has nothing much to do with infrastructure, it has a lot of other factors. For example Bangalore was not one of the big 4 so it received a lot less funding and step motherly treatment from center all along and for a lot of years only Bangalore offered high-paying jobs in software jobs and the cosmopolitan culture, thank god atleast now other cities have high-paying jobs too, it is changing which is good for India I should say.

U said Political Stability has got nothing to do with infrastructure. May be you have to read the above article once again. Let me copy and paste for ur convenience... "The Corporation tried to shift the blame on to the contractor of the building. The contractor, Ramaiah, had not handed over possession of the building to the Corporation after it was constructed. Instead, he had rented out the apartments illegally, according to the Corporation."
Now do you still believe it has nothing to do with political stability? Please think again.

obviously it has nothing to do with stability but only to do with contractor and corruption. Tell me one city where there are honest contractors and honest government officers,

Using fake names to play blame game shows your cowardness and guilty coniousness that your are not true to your heart what you ae speaking. What has number millionaires or the city's growth got to do with this incident. This has happened because of pure corrupted politicians and contractors, blame them not the city as it is in our public's hands whom we bring to power to see our city out of these problems. Rather than thinking what we can do we are just talking nonsense about the infrastructure, millionaires blah blah.. if ppl have invested in b'lore it is at thier risk and it is the same anywhere in the world.. if b'lore has 4th most number of millionaire's it shows it has grown economically due to public and not due to govt's efforts or govt' money...

Sometimes we gotta use fake names to tell some startling truth, it might be bitter to some people but I can't help it. Reality bites
