This is Pakistan's well thought out plan to revive the Khalistan movement. What it does is a) takes the Islamic terror angle out of the equation; b) sow the seeds for similar action in the minds of Sikhs in India and opening up the possibility of strife in India; and c) try and show the world its secular credentials. The fact that no non-Muslim has even been Pakistan's President, Prime Minister, a Chief Minister of any subah, the captain of any of its sports team...(the list is endless), is testimony of how Pakistan treats its minorities. Anyways, a country formed on religious lines can hardly claim to be secular. I don't know if the Congress and Sonia think otherwise.

You cant have uniform civil code. If you are a Hindu, will you accept that you have to get married in a masjid with a qadi. Will you accept the divorce rules Islam has? Will you accept to be buried if you die? There are different rules with different religion. As good as you dont mix them and as long as you are sincere to the religion, all religions are good. But you cannot mix them each other.
