It is not too far, Pakistan to be disintegrated again after 1971.The basic problem is the plurarism. It is the people who make a great democracy. Not only leaders. So people has to change. They have to thank India not being to aggressive to them. Think of the day India stops all the water from rivers of Panjab and diverts to irrigate to Rajestan( Only BJP can do it) what will happen the situation of land of canals ?? All the terrorist activities will stop in Kashmir and POK will be part of India again. Anyway it is good article. But Mr Sajid, We will appreciate if you fire your writings against those Mullas intstead of worrying too much about PAKIS. It will be a great help for India to be better democracy like USA.

Ok would like to repeat again if it does so....."The Very Existence of Pakistan on Earth will be Doubtful"................Amen....
Long Live India!! (And people of pakistan also) Salil....
Reading the messages below I can clearly see a biased opinion even amongst the educated netizens. I reckon Dr. Sajjad has presented an excellent analysis. The reason for such unwarranted comments is his reference to Gujarat massacres. A truth is a truth is a truth. It has to be told without fear or favor. Before I am being hit by brick bats, let me confess I am going to vote for Modi for his efforts towards development. Perhaps the massacre was the result of minoritism under the guise of securalism practiced for most part after independence. No matter what is the reasoning it should never have happened.
can you call a massive reaction by millions when you burn 59 of them a pogrom ?
it is not a pogrom. please ask a question, why is there no pogrom against jains, parsis, budhdhist or sikhs in gujarat (even during 1984 riots all over india, no sikh was hurt in gujarat) ?
gujaratis are not mad, as most muslims are made to think.
they are just tired of congress sponsored dadagiri of crazy elements of muslim society.
BJP is getting an advantage of this situation.
we do not like innocent muslims getting killed, do not like to encourage hindu fanatics (fanatics are same whether hindu or muslim), would like to live peacefully, but would also not like dadagiri from crazy elements of muslim society.
sane hindus when asked by hindu fanatics "how do you counter such dadagiri?" have no answer.

Lets take an example. Suppose one of your fellows (in school or college) is wrongly favoured- a situation many of us have been through- would you still bring yourself to burning that person? Why is it that such attacks happen against unknown/unseen enemies? I think it is because we have no stakes in their lives. And this is not just cowardice but blantantly unfair. Can you imagine your being in the minority in a foreign country and resorting to such attacks against the majority there even if you are marginalised?? Which brings us to one more point, that since we have power, we show it, if we don't we keep shut. Which again throws ethics into the winds and makes it a simple battle of who can get the better of whom? I am not for minorityism and hate these politicos who indulge in it. I also feel the problem with the muslim community in India is lack of moderate and sane leaders who would work for the genuine good of their people and the country as a whole (most of the leaders are stooges).Nevertheless, it still does not warrant killing unknown and innocent enemies, whatever be the provocation. If not what are we saying- we have no means of rightfully managing the affairs of our own nation and have to resport to extra-constitutional means often? If that is what it is, does not that make us culprits in devising such a system ad then beating it? Think about it bro...

You seem to be pretty articulate and the way you present your view point is awesome! Ever though of becoming a journalist? Think about it. Our society needs people like you who can argue sanely!
pakistan can also be a democratic country if the people there want to be so. otherwise they will like the palestinians, who are now a days fighting each other than the Isralis. let them decide what they want to become if u want to become a democracy, the first andforemost thing is u have to accept the others as equal to u if the muslims and their faith allows this, then they will be the winner, otherwise like America, everybody will brand them as Terrorists. see the beauty of it--a caste itself has been branded as Terrorists--with global presence. bye

Unlike india, pakistan has too many enemies that are trying to destablize pakistan. Read the truth at ahmedquraishi.com. This will open a lot of your eyes as to what's cooking and what is coming to our region.
As a salary earning one, it is you duty to draw colorful and hopeful picture of Pakistan government but can there be a democracy in Pakistan ever, where the Prime Ministers (when exposed) say that they were not aware that their military was preparing for a nuclear conflict ? Democracy in Pakistan is a Jhunjhuna that is offered to political champions of ballot by military junta when tired of direct governance. Afterall who decides dismissal of PM/President of Pakistan in democracy ? Parliament ? Who dismissed Benezir and Nawaz as PMs in Pakistan ? Wait and see, destiny has its own ways of unfloding the future. Bad times are certainly ahead, with sure bite to India also.

What rubbish? What is this statement of yours? 'ISLAM IN INDIA RUNS A RISK OF GETTING WIPED OUT'. They have ruled us for nearly a thousand years and they will be wiped out if they don't support Uniform Civil Code? The only reason they survived so long was because they did not support Unform Civil Code! Don't let your jingoism get ahead of your logic! See how nicely White Elephant has presented his point above.
