British manuplated, coxed & thrown these nations(Sind,NWFP,Balochistan) in 1947 to Wolves. Now these nations are desparete for freedom & are waging low intensity war against these blood suking hounds.Let's all support these nations to get freedom which is their birth right, which they must have.
Looking at the comments to this article, I think they seemed to have entirely missed the spirit of author in praising India's remarkable achievement of democracy. Especially if you compare against Pakistan/bangaladesh. Very honest potrayal of the spirit of India- it is still work-in-progress system.

We know that. The whole world knows that. They also know why but nobody is spelling it out. When a country exists as a theocratic dictatorship based country there is a problem. With so many ethnic groups even one religion does not help when one ethnic group dominates the other. It is lesson for India too.
Mr Sajjad's is busy delivering sermons about the so-called anti-Muslim 'pogrom' in Gujarat. Very conveniently, he forgets the massacre of over 40,000 Hindus in the Kashmir Valley by his co-religionists. Your 'secular' memory may be short, Sajjad, our's isn't. So give us a break from all this eulogusing about Congress 'secularism' and 'scocialism.' Jaganniwas Iyer
In order to find the answer on "How Indian Democracy could be saved", I believe before each election, there should be 1 year President rule both in the state and the central levels. President, IAS and IPS should hold all the portfolios during this period. Then I believe Democracy will be less corrupted and guity like Communists will be punished by the people severely.
So, there should be such kind of ammendment Parliament should bring to save Indian democracy.
Otherwise it will be ruled by most corrupted congress, communists and Peudo-secularists.
Dr.Sajjad you explained that the strength and aspiration of the masses were always insignificant for the creators of Pakistan. During 1937 to 1947, they did enlist mass support, but the mobilising issues were divisive and hate mongering, based on religious exclusivism is so true. Can a state progress whose birth was based on those issues.
